In only 6 years have Democrats have become a minority party.

Obama has been instrumental in that though that wasn’t his intention in the first place.

He has been a GOP recruitment dream.

I'd say he threw up a little in his mouth.

Wonder how many of us would get a CT scan for a sore throat.

The usual is to take a swab and send it to a lab.

Sounds like they didn't do that....but likely wound up laughing their a**** off.

All of the above is WHY repubs WILL think they can do what they want. Many suspect that repubs are too stupid to realize that they were hired to FIX.

There’s the false meme again. Why is Bill Nelson (FL) not a “US Senator from the South?”

Because they’re trying to push the “black president/rise of the old confederate” narrative.

When it’s actually a “militant leftist president/rise of conservatism” narrative.

The Republican sweep left 1-2 slivers of coastal territory and splotches of interior to Dems. From the looks of the map, Democrats control votes in inner city gangland strongholds, sleazy Hollywood motels, Indian reservations, pineapple plantations, Boston beaneries, coastal clam shacks and surf shops.

What the Republican takeover looks like as of midnight 11/5---Alaska is Repub, LA went Repub Dec 6. (Map courtesy of http://www.nationaljournal.com)

FROM SEA TO SHINING SEA A sweet irony---the "party of the people" lacerated, and dumped, by "the people."

REPUBLICANS STUNNING WINS MAKE ELECTORAL HISTORY

And apparently no difference. One set of fascists has been replaced by another and the centralization of the government continues its acceleration as the Imam doubles down and the Republicans abjure opposition. The Republicans showed immediately upon election that they just want their turn at the helm, their rightful share of the wealth of the nation.Nothing will change except possibly the official rancor against selected portions of the population.

Are we sure the President isn’t some undercover mole for the GOP?

Inevitable? There was really nothing Mary Landrieu could do

By Robert Mann

Imagine that Sen. Mary Landrieu had run a perfect re-election campaign. Imagine that she had offered a sustained, effective defense of the Affordable Care Act and her vote for it.

Imagine that she had recognized early that building a campaign around her clout and seniority was a weak argument for her re-election. Imagine she hadn’t wasted the first two weeks of her runoff period pursuing the rainbow that was the Keystone pipeline.

Imagine that Democratic operatives had persuaded the news media to write about Rep. Bill Cassidy’s questionable financial arrangement with LSU in October, instead of late November. Imagine Landrieu had all the money she needed for her runoff.

In other words, imagine Landrieu ran a textbook campaign. If so, could she have won re-election?

The answer, I suspect, is no. Landrieu didn’t lose re-election because she was a bad candidate. She certainly didn’t lose because Cassidy was a better candidate. She didn’t lose because she was outspent or because Washington, D.C., Democratic leaders abandoned her. It wasn’t her message or even the messenger.

Mary Landrieu lost because Louisiana is now, almost completely, a Republican state. In fact, as one political scientist told me the other day, maybe Landrieu’s re-election in 2008 over John Kennedy was a fluke. Maybe it wasn’t that Landrieu was such a formidable candidate, but that Kennedy was such a flawed candidate that he delayed her inevitable defeat by six years. All this time, we thought she was a masterful politician, the Houdini of Louisiana politics, usually under water but always bursting free of her chains just before she drowned.

you forgot democrats control practically all blacks, immigrants , illegals and most minorities.

96% of blacks in new Orleans voted for Democrat Mary Landrue yesterday. this is amazing , 96%. they are totally brainwashed to believe a false reality that socialism works.

With a lapdog GOP House and Senate, Barry will continue apace transforming America. I don’t think he’s suffering any ill effects from the election at all.

Now, Shelly deciding not to leave him after his second term is up...

All good news but there’s far more that needs to be done and complacency needs to be addressed daily in order to eradicate it. Boehner & McConnell need replacing and we need a big victory in 2016.

The NATIONAL message from voters this year could not be clearer. They want Republicans to clean up the mess and stop Obama. Republicans had better get going; they have a lot of work to do.

This is a monumental political opportunity for Republicans. Its time to walk the talk. Will they seize the moment and act decisively to change the direction of the country or will they once again surrender without a fight?

Even Connecticut elected more Republicans in the state house for the first time since the 90s. The state Senate of CT got a lot of gerrymandered districts that goes through cities...
