I have never had to, but, when my kids were little, if I had no money, I would have stolen to feed them.

With me never having had any children, you have given me something to think about. Many parents will do almost anything to make sure their children continue to thrive.

I would like to think that I would find some other way to feed my kids if I was broak but if I had to steal because that would be the only way my kids would not starve I would steal.

There are many other legal, more honorable options in the Birmingham area.

And you would have every moral right to do so (assuming you had no way to earn them through work). I’ll probably get flamed for that but oh well.

With all that said though, there is absolutely no reason anyone should be stealing anything in this country to feed themselves or their family. We have a social welfare program nearly out of control and broke itself.

If I found myself in such a situation, and there was no way to earn food through work, I’d do everything I could to find such assistance (then get off it as soon as possible) before I resorted to theft.

This is of course assuming the system were still functional. In a few years, who knows may have all collapsed under its own weight...
