President Obama said Tuesday that a long-awaited Senate report on CIA torture of terrorism suspects details “a troubling program” that harmed America’s reputation, reasons that he ended the practices soon after taking office.

In a statement before Sen. Dianne Feinstein of California released the report, Mr. Obama said the probe “reinforces my long-held view that these harsh methods were not only inconsistent with our values as nation, they did not serve our broader counterterrorism efforts or our national security interests.”

Well, you do know that his “intentions are good,” don’t you? They’re not? Who knew?

This is not a Senate Report. Republicans had no role in it.

I think standing more than 2 hours is really, really bad, too.

The founding fathers were not stupid.
Torture had existed for thousands of years, as a method of getting information from a captured enemy. The British used it on American revolutionaries.
They could have put it in there, by name, but did not, because they knew it would cripple the military in a time of need.
Now, if a liberal wants to use the “cruel and unusual punishment,” clause, as a case against ‘torture’, then that applies only to US citizens, not enemies in foreign lands..............

Here's my take on the real objectives on releasing this report.

It goes back to everything is Bush's fault. The dims are implying President Bush could be guilty of war crimes and want to use this as a bargaining position against threats to impeach obummer for his presidential directive overreach.

More simply put, "You get our guy, we'll get your guy".

“Plame was outed by her idiot husband (who loved hanging out with lefties in DC) and what happened? Republicans got blamed. I don’t have much faith at this point.”

Plame was not in the clandestine service, therefore there was nothing to “out”. Plame had been prepped for potential clandestine service when she first joined the CIA, but was never put undercover, and once she was assigned to Langley, any potential clandestined service was out of the question. Members of the clandestined service never are posted to Langley, because Langley is accessed via public roads and it is assumed anyone assigned there could be photographed entering CIA HQ. Clandestine agents are kept undercover even when they are not in the field.

Clearly a political decision in line with hillary’s despicable “soft” approach in dealing with terrorists.

And I see that mccain has jumped to the defense of the Democrat Socialists by agreeing that the techniques accomplished little to find and punish the terrorists.

The mind of the "old soldier" continues to deteriorate at an accelerating pace.

This is just like Obama NOT signing an Executive Order, rather directing a political hack to do his dirty work.

Dianne Feinstein would never, ever go against Obama's wishes.

Bush waterboarded 4-6 terrorists.

Obama killed 2,400+ in drone strikes.
