Obama will shut down if it gives him voting point, no matter what.

"They’re playing conservatives for suckers."

If so, then he isn't successful. Conservatives KNOW the GOP-E wants amnesty. The GOP-E has proven it repeatedly.

However, when it comes time to vote, one is stuck between two choices. The Republican candidate, in almost every race, will do less harm and be slightly more responsive to conservatives than the Democrat. For many of us, that is as good as we can get.

Arizona has no true conservatives in the Senate. Flake promised he would be one, but he turned into McFlake the moment he got there. McCain isn't sane. In my congressional district, McSally may remain...having won with less than a 200 vote margin. Barber would be worse, but McSally is no hard-core conservative. She'll be a rock steady vote the GOP-E can count on.

I haven't been fooled. Most in this district have not been fooled. We just don't have any better options at this time. And BTW - I refused to vote for McSally due to a longstanding personal dislike to how she acted while in the USAF. Since Barber would vote worse, but would be on the losing team regardless, I figured he wouldn't really harm things more than McSally. But there were no good choices in November 2014 in this district - or in many others.

I have many times on this board laid out our enemies, that is those people who place their own interests above those of the republic; both major parties (ie the feral gov), the media, Wall Street, the unions, the Chamber of C, the grievance industry, etc.

But who is on our side?

The middle class, which includes black, white, and Hispanics. The American promise is being sliced up like an over-ripe corporation in a hostile take-over.

Our problem is lack of cash. I'm talking big cash to buy a senator or a president. The game is rigged and we're not players.

Like Gruber said, we're suckers.

Ben it’s not a secret and never has been. Tom Donahue has been threatening and the GOPe has been listening for a long time.

But who is on our side?

**********
The only people on our side died off long ago (i.e., the Founding Fathers).

The odds against us are formidable, if not overwhelming. But we conservatives must fight on for what we believe in. Methinks the Founding Fathers would be proud of us.

As for Gruber, its hard to fault him for his statement. It may have been brash, but he was correct. Most of the people can be fooled most of the time.

Many people will tell you to invest in gold or silver.

My advise: invest in lead.

We already have “other” parties, all soundly rejected by American voters for many years.

If things in this country get much worse, voters may stop looking to the two parties who brought this mess upon us and starting searching for new solutions. Bear in mind those two parties have brought us to the edge of economic Armageddon with our ballooning $18 trillion debt load and staggering burden of unfunded liabilities. Its just a matter of time before this blows up big time. On top of that, the country is crumbling before our eyes due to poor leadership. According to polls, lots of people believe we are going in the wrong direction.

Recall that the “virtual” Tea Party succeeded in giving the Republicans the House in 2010. It was close to becoming a viable third party IMO but never reached critical mass. And of course the Republicans adroitly coopted its influence and then promptly marginalized it. I think the Tea Party was duped into believing that they could change the party from within. That is extremely difficult to do, if not impossible.
