#I'llridewithyou: Celebrities & Twitter users take to social media to support Muslim community
Daily Mail ^

Twelve hours after the Lindt Cafe hostage crisis in Sydney began to unfold, Australians have flooded social media with sentiments of solidarity and support of Muslims in the community.

Twitter user Sir Tessa began what has become a worldwide phenomenon, offering to sit next to members of the Islamic faith on transport if they were frightened to be seen in public wearing religious clothing.

The 'I'll ride with you' hashtag has garnered over 112,000 mentions across social media, with people all over the world jumping on board the movement in an effort to turn the terrifying events of Monday into something positive.

After Sir Tessa noticed a disturbing trend of anti-Muslim sentiments, he wrote to those on his regular bus 'wear religious attire, & don’t feel safe alone: I’ll ride with you'.

The hashtag was soon picked up by his followers, gaining support from fellow Australians who offered lifts to work, promises of protection, and friendship to anyone feeling threatened.

With many areas of Sydney still in lockdown and Australians expressing their fears of follow-up attacks in the coming days, the movement blossomed into a forum for showing compassion and tolerance for all faiths.

'The compassion of everyday Australian's should NEVER b underestimated..#illridewithyou is the perfect example of why this is a great nation!' said one Twitter user.

Liberals are always eagerly awaiting the arrival of the anti-muslim backlash, so they can tweet bravely against it.

It never arrives, but the anti-western-freedom campaign continues beheading and kidnapping and blowing up people every single day.

Did any of these brave souls offer themselves to be exchanged for the hostages in that café?

Maybe the Muzzies will do us a favor & slice their heads off first.

I can’t imagine why this man wasn’t already ejected from Australia. And I don’t understand why WE don’t eject criminal aliens.

The world has gone insane.

Radical Islamists take hostages in Austraila.

The Austrailan left comforts the Muslim population.

Just another day in Obamaland.

...so they can tweet bravely against it. It never arrives...

And, confront libs with that undeniable fact and they'll readily take credit for having prevented that backlash. Note these foggy-headed little idealists don't volunteer to "ride with" Christians in places like Mosul, Karbani or anywhere else muslims are busily "being misunderstood."

Proving once again that when a people become too civilized to do what is necessary to survive in an uncivilized world, they won’t survive, nor do they deserve to survive.

Hey, they’re sitting next to a muzzie.

No problem.

Collateral damage.

Sorry to sound so cynical, but folks, how long are you going to bend over for a liberal?

Make THEM worry.

Make THEM wonder about their future.

Make THEM fear for their houses.

Make THEM realize THEY are the outcasts.

Why does ISIS need to go look for targets? Twitter leftists are offering themselves up for no effort.

Instead of being ‘fearful’, these good, moderate Muslims should be at the forefront of outrage that violence of this type is taking place under the name of Islam. Instead they show that they are either irrelevant to the conversation or that they subconsciously support such acts as long as they or their family, sect, tribe, or ‘hood’ aren’t engaged in it.

Better them than me. I want as many of these types as possible sitting in solidarity between me and the muzzie to absorb shrapnel when the bomb vest goes off.

I think it’s a good idea for non-muslims to sit right next to potentially dangerous muslims on public transport because just in case they decide to go on a rampage (and they might!) you stand a better chance of hitting them at close range!
