Klamath Falls, Ore. -- Children caroling inside the Klamath Falls Walmart say they were kicked out Thursday night and told to leave or police would be called.
Parents tell NBC5 News that a group of students from Henley High School were caroling at the Klamath Falls Walmart Thursday night when they were asked to leave in a manner that frightened some of the kids.
A manager at the Klamath Falls Walmart declined to comment. We are told however, that the students were not invited to be there and the singing was on private property.
According to another parent, who recorded the above video, the children left the Walmart and headed to Fred Meyer where they say they were welcomed and allowed to sing. You can find that video here: http://on.kobi5.com/1DR2VSb
We've reached out to Walmarts corporate office regarding the incident but haven't heard back.

The war on Christians continues.
Christians are an underclass in Obummer’s America.
Your youtube link won’t go to video.
And in a Walmart, of all places! If Sam were alive, that would not have been the policy, I bet.
Those mean old conservatives at Walmart! Oh, wait...that was probably a liberal. In that case, those greedy capitalist kids!
I happen to agree with Walmart on this.
The aisles in Walmart, or any other department store are not the place to have a choir singing anything. Imagine if you were shopping and a RAP GROUP came in and started ‘doing their thing’. I don’t think this had to do with religion.
The leaders of the group made a poor choice of place to conduct their holiday tidings. Especially since they didn’t even ask the Manager if it was OK.
Imagine if a group of carolers appeared at your door and just walked inside your house and started caroling.
Now, a MALL would have been a more logical place to do this.
Thank you! My computer is running v e r y s l o w tonight — takes forever to do anything.
It’s Walmart’s property so they can eject carolers if they wish (although I find all this Christmas-related public display tedious anyway so I can sympathize).
We know how the world is now, don’t set the kids up to be treated that way! Whoever is organizing the caroling must do a better job of finding out if the work place will allow this. Never mind being all hurt and surprised. Get authorization first, and still prepare the kids that this might be interrupted. Don’t just take the word of a cashier. Get a manager’s word in writing. Someone did not perform due diligence.

Good riddance! two things come to mind, first of all, despite what the Christian supremacists think, there are many belief systems out there besides Christianity. Second, this is very disruptive to the many cashiers already stressful jobs. Can you imagine trying to count back change or ring things up with this nonsense going on. Walmart already lets the Salvation Army bother people going in and out of the store. I am sure if these annoying little brats had asked for permission, they would have been permitted to sing somewhere in grocery or really anywhere else in the store but to just show up in front of the busy registers and start belting it out, of course they were told to leave.
The kids probably thought it would be fun and were excited to partake in and renew an old tradition that might make some folks smile. What a puking shame that the hypersensitives with all of this “concern” for the feelings of a few Christmas athiests can pour dark clouds over such a simple act.
Yes, I said the foul word - Christmas!! Now it’s just a “holiday” and we shouldn’t ask why. It doesn’t matter anymore, it’s a marketing holiday in which you must go spend money and give gifts and feed the atheist economy. Isn’t that enough?
Enjoy those “holiday” parties. I’ve had to attend two of them at my place of work. One of them had a live “band” singing old 6O’s music instead of Christmas carols because they just aren’t PC anymore. I am so tired of all this crap I could just scream. Aaaaaaagh!!! In the liberal multi-culti PC global community no one can hear you scream!
Now that’s the spirit! To hell with Christmas, right?(s) I found your remarks “tedious” too.
“this is very disruptive to the many cashiers already stressful jobs”
Seriously? A group of kids singing is so awful? It’s gonna mess up the stressed-out cashier and somehow make their day so much more horrible? Wow. That just wouldn’t occur to me at all. In better days, people would pause for a minute in all the marketing/spending madness and breathe for a moment and enjoy it. Yeah. These are some dark days we’re in. How sad.
Just shows me how incredibly far we really are from the reason for the season. And the traditions. And the music. And the message. And the symbols that made it special.
ditto
Probably more to the story....this town is very conservative and would not chase away the carolers.....have heard the store was undergoing a missing child exercise (Code Adam) and the singing was interrupting the procedure. No one at the local wmart would chase away the singers.
Actually, I think Christians need to take Christmas to every level they can. Let the hum bugs protest.
