NEW YORK - Civil rights leaders Sunday condemned the ambush killings of two New York police officers and expressed fear that the backlash over the bloodshed could derail the protest movement that has grown out of the deaths of Michael Brown and Eric Garner.
In the raw hours following the killing of the officers, police union officials and politicians accused those who have protested the deaths of Garner and Brown of fanning anti-police fervor. Patrick Lynch, president of the Patrolman's Benevolent Association in New York, said there was "blood on the hands" of demonstrators and elected officials who have criticized police tactics....

I watched a little of CNN and they apparently are not concerned about the assassinations of cops.
The Marxist Media is worried that their agenda could be derailed by a couple stinking cops being murdered.

Don’t think I’m not concerned, with all my support for the cops in the news, about the potential by the left for using this trumped-up ‘crisis” as an opportunity, against law-abiding citizens.
My fear from all this is a movement towards a nationalized police force replacing local police departments.

There is too much money in it for the race baiters and votes for the dimoKKKRATS. They will just lay low for awhile and then continue on like nothing ever happened.
Okay, then. I get it. It is perfectly okay for you to lump all police officers and all white people in to the same group and vilify them as evil and racist, but when someone does effectively the same thing to you and yours it is "not fair".
Mr. Brooks, you are, at best, a hypocritical whiner. At worst, you are closely associating yourself with, and in agreement with, a bunch of criminal low-lifes.
The game is being played with our police’s lives. They care not a whit about them (much as they care not a whit about our military).
The police actuate the enforcement of laws that We the People decide to pass. But in a police state those “laws” are whatever can be forced through without authority of approval of the People. Numerous historical examples of this— the Brownshirts “auxiliary” to the Berlin police during latter Weimar (”Garden of the Beast” book is incredible in it’s description of this time and how the Brownshirts aided the
police— and which Tea Party supporters have been compared, btw). The media manipulates all of this, of course.
And that is what we must guard against, because the RINOs will let it happen and then be as irrelevant as they really want to be.
It has happened before in this country— about which see— “Bonus Marchers” - whom Pres. Hoover ordered “cleared” from D.C. by our military (Macarthur, Patton and Eisenhower were all in command there). FDR continued the refusal to pay the Bonus even after this— following Hoover’s prior refusal. Congress finally paid the veteran’s reversing decision on their own— in 1936. And 5 years later FDR embroiled the US in WWII (WWI having decided - nothing).
Never discount the power of the Left New England elite, and the Establishment to use the power of the State over the citizens, and to use the police to do it. We should never put our police in such a moral trap- or expose them to this kind of manipulation.
Thank a police person— the ones who are in agreement with the Constitution. Keep in mind there are many in the leadership who are non-Constitutional and would welcome the junta form of govt. Which is why obamaumao wants to import the juntistas who aren’t blessed with knowing how this country is Constitutionally created and run. An easy dictatorship.

Your reference to the Left New England elite leads me to believe that you have read “Albion’s Seed”, in which I can see the tentacles of what began as the Puritans, morphed into the Congregationalists, and then Universalists, spreading to control the rest of the country. I have always believed that the Civil War was as much about that as anything.
If this is how they behave in winter, we could be in for a bitch of a summer.

The optics for the left aren’t pretty...the cops shot were ethnic Hispanic and Asian....not Caucasians like an officer Smith or an Officer Koslawski. Law abiding Hispanics and Asians should be pissed!
