North Korea goes completely offline: Report
CNBC ^ | 12-22-14 | Everett Rosenfeld

Posted on 12/22/2014 1:57:53 PM PST by Colehill1999

North Korea is having major Internet problems, just days after President Barack Obama promised a proportional response to the devastating hacks against Sony.

The country, which the FBI accused last week of the cyberattack, is suffering a total Internet outage that experts at DYN Research said is out of the ordinary, as first reported by North Korea Tech. According to the research firm, North Korea's Internet connectivity grew steadily worse beginning Sunday night, and then went completely offline Monday morning.

"I haven't seen such a steady beat of routing instability and outages in KP before," Doug Madory, director of Internet analysis at DYN Research, told North Korea Tech. "Usually there are isolated blips, not continuous connectivity problems. I wouldn't be surprised if they are absorbing some sort of attack presently."

Only a government can really accomplish this.

It wasn't a government operation that took down AGIS for hosting Sanford Wallace's CyberPromotions.

If Obama can do this to the Norks, he can do it to us.

I don’t know whether to cheer or tremble in fear.

I’m curious to know if there was ANY outage or DOS in China and South Korea? I would expect none.

Dear Leader shouldn’t have posted those threats to nuke the white house and pentagon. Real patriots don’t like that - probably struck back from their smartphones during lunch break in the pentagon comissarre.

Looks like the cyber wars that have been talked about for decades are starting.

Don’t be too joyful, as we are MUCH MORE dependent on the Internet that North Korea, or just about any other country.

This will get interesting.

So, all five of their computers can’t get online?

That sawed off little bitch “leader” of theirs probably used Satellite Internet. I’m SURE we could disable his connection, if we wanted to. Would be awesome if we did!

That’s exactly what we should do! We should ‘ground’ the Norks from the internet, indefinitely! There’s probably just a handful of fiber lines going into their country terrestrially. It probably wouldn’t be difficult to kill or ‘jam’ their satellite access.

If 0-Tard did this, it would be one of the few good things he’s ever done as president....

Considering Obama looks flaccid and weak to the rest of the world, kicking a little Nork cyber butt is good for his administration...

On the surface it looks like he at least did something without insulting our friends...

I sincerely believe that Obama directed the attack against Somy then blamed the Norks. Likely, this strike against the Norks is also directed by Obama using his NSA. Who in the whole world is better positioned to pull it off?

North Korea Bankrupt After Costs from Sony Hack
http://glossynews.com/top-stories/get-your-war-on/201412220304/north-korea-bankrupt-after-costs-from-sony-hack/

North Korea has gone bankrupt from its massive hacking assault on Sony Pictures.

The intrusion into the depths of Sony’s Corporation was ignited by their new film ‘The Interview’ which features two bumbling tabloid newsmen who are given the mission of assassinating North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un.

This indiscretion infuriated the real Jong Un who immediately funneled the entire countries anemic economy into the hacking barrage that exposed many of Sony’s secret files including high level employee wages (which shocked Jong Un in that one executive’s salary alone equals the entire gross national product of North Korea for a year), insulting emails about famous stars (which also encindered the Prez as some were about his secret fantasy love Jennifer Aniston), and photos of Seth Rogen in his underwear (which the Exalted One kept for his private collection).

Only a matter of time until it occurs in the U.S., and elsewhere.

The damage due to massive net disconnects have the potential of bringing an economy and much of everything else to a chaotic halt.

At face value what could possibly be the motivation for Obama to do this ?
