Bill Cosby has hired a battalion of private investigators to dig up dirt on his many accusers, The New York Post has learned.
The comedian, fighting an onslaught of accusations that he sexually assaulted more than two dozen women over many years, is paying six-figure fees to private investigators for information that might discredit his alleged victims.
Multiple sources confirmed that Cosby, through his Hollywood attorney Martin Singer, is implementing a scorched-earth strategy in which anything negative in his accusers’ pasts is fair game.
At least one Glendale, Calif.-based firm with a half-dozen former LAPD detectives on staff is muckraking for Cosby, a source said.

Ruehli did not sue and there is no record to my knowledge of any complaint of extortion. Are you trying to be humorous or were you just misinformed.

So Cosby being a good lefty who despises republicans, and calls them racists, and who loves Obama and is a pure lifelong democrat, and a supporter of Sharpton’s Tawana Brawley rape hoax, is being destroyed by a vast democrat conspiracy that started before he ever said a few words about “pull up your pants”?

Yeah, it is a goofy fantasy, that at some point Cosby became Thomas Sowell, and so the left had to destroy him.
And of course having dozens of women from different states and cities, and ranging in age from their 20s to their 70s, accuse him of rapes and sexual assaults covering a 5 decade period, with the first accusations pre dating his “pants” speech, is the way to stop the right wing movement that he was leading among American blacks, or something.
It has been more than a decade since he mentioned those pants back in May of 2004, what movement do these guys think that he was leading that one of the great conspiracies has to be created to destroy him?
Do you suppose Hillary might have suggested that he do that?
Since he is also a major Democrat fundraiser, I am sure the IRS and DOJ will assist.
Clinton did the same thing - only he had benefit of State Police and a wife who appears to have enjoyed hurting other women.

No, it doesn’t, and it’s actually illogical to make that argument. It’s no more true than saying if Bill Cosby really raped so many women at least one of them woukd have reported it at the time it occurred or at least by the time that Bill Cosby became “America’s dad”, not decades after that statute of limitations expired. Logically, neither argument has any merit. I’m not really a fan of Cosby (especially, after some of the things he’s said about conservatives), but I also can’t ignore the fact that he’s pissed off a whole lot of leftists in the last decade or so, and leftists will do or say anything and organize to do it, just to ruin the lives and reputations of people they deem their enemies. The truth is, we will probably never know what went on in Bill Cosby’s “personal life”. That said, even if every accuser is telling the truth, I have a hard time respecting them for keeping their mouth shut for decades while Cosby became one of the most widely acclaimed Americans in the last half of the 20th century. Also, what other defense do you expect Cosby to have after being tried and apparently convicted in the court of public opinion? There is literally nothing he can say or do to help his reputation other than discredit his accusers. . . and even then it’s a long shot gamble.

I could be wrong, but I seem to recall that he did sue her and that she was also convicted of blackmail. Or maybe that was his alleged baby mamma (who is also now accusing him of rape). Truth is he’s now been accused by so many people I can’t keep then all straight.

You are thinking of something unrelated to the rapes, from the 1990s, a woman claiming to be his daughter tried to blackmail him, or extort money from him.
You guys just keep making up falsehoods, after a couple of months one has to start calling them lies, because you know better than to keep claiming the same falshoods.
There were police reports filed about the rapes before the statute of limitations, there is a current charge of a 2008 rape that is being investigated. Cosby settled in 2006 for a 2004 rape, the first police report was filed in 2000 for a 1998 sexual assault.

Yep. And a lot of available, willing ‘victims’ wanting to hang out with ‘stars.’ They didn’t KNOW who he was? they just WILLINGLY went on a ‘date’ with some random black dude? I think not. ALL of his ‘victims’ were In The Biz, in some manner, or dating or related to those in The Biz.
As a woman, I hate to be this way, but other women make some really STUPID and life-altering choices. I mean, I’ve had my share of wrong choices, but if you’re hangin’ with The Big Dogs, you’d better prepare yourself to be bitten.

I don’t disagree with your post. A lot of women will sell their souls for fame and fortune - and if they are in the biz, they should know that parts or gigs are handled by agents - Personally, I’ve never been a Bill Cosby fan - I found him to be phony - and good looking? Not in your wildest dreams! Sounds like these gullible women thought the pudding pops man was going to be their personal route to stardom. I don’t know if he did it or not, but I will wait for the facts to come out. This is what one should do and would make for a good juror in a trial. Accusations aren’t proof - and a lot of time celebrities will settle out of court in order to just move on with their lives - regardless of whether the accusations are true or not. So, I take the “wait and see” approach with an open mind toward the outcome - either way it goes.
