——They thought everyone’s hours would remain the same.-——

My thought is different. The goal was to mimic France and do it better. The goal is a universal 30 hour week for everybody.

An American 30 hour week is more progressive than a French 35 hour week, especially after wages are increased to the Living level

My thought was that they thought people would reduce hours and hire more thereby fudging the employment numbers. Then they could say, "Look, the ACA has helped increase employment. More Americans are working because of "free" healthcare."

35 hours good, 30 hours better.

That’s an interesting way of looking at it, which hadn’t occurred to me.

But, Obama’s real core supporters would prefer no work at all. Their optimum workweek number is ZERO.
