BATFE needs to be eliminated. Those who work for BATFE should not be transferred to other government agencies; they should leave government “service” forever since they don’t understand the relationship between citizens and what is supposed to be our government.

Since most gunsmiths aren’t licensed firearm manufactures how will this effect them?

Also...this would stop the practice of tool-makers taking a receiver to work to drill and tap for scope mounts. I had friends that constantly had something they wanted me to machine for them. The shop didn’t care as long as I did it after work.

IIRC, the ATF snuck into being as a tariff organization (whose collection is mentioned in the USC).

The ATF has since then far outreached their original charter IMO. Further, their “rulings” are tantamount to creation of laws which is the purview of congress.

If you ban Bridgeports, only the criminals will have Bridgeports.

Rodamala:" If you ban Bridgeports, only the criminals will have Bridgeports."

If the Bridgeports instructions are written in Cursive,
only the literate criminals will be able to follow instructions.

What if I lease you my equipment under a lease-to-buy agreement with a lease term of 90 minutes. Since under that agreement the leasee has possession and a growing ownership claim, I’m no longer letting you use “my” equipment I don’t see how this rule applies.

Of course the obersturmbanfuhrers will simply issue another diktat.

I suspect this is aimed at ARES Armor in San Diego

It is.

This should encourage more AK build parties. No milling required for the standard AKM or 74.

“Don’t we have special people who are tasked with making laws? Why is an unelected bureaucrat telling free people what they can or cannot machine on their own equipment? “

The lawsuit is coming, very soon! This is nonsense.

This ruling will also affect Rifle Dynamics’ AK build courses. Fortunately B Todd Jones is being sued right now for the Form 1 MG debacle!
