Address, because there are several links but he’s doing all the talking. Typical politician.
Exactly.
The Obamacare vote was an analogous case. Some of the “Blue Dogs”, the politically necessary ones, were allowed to vote Nay. The politically expendable ones, such as Mary Landrieu, were not. The outcome of the vote was not in question.
This is why Founders such as Madison and Washington bitterly opposed the formation of political factions (i.e., parties) in the US.
I don’t really know; there were several people that I felt would support a change.
The government is now falling as a percent of GDP and that was caused by last year's Congress.
We now control both Houses. We won't get everything we want, but we'll start getting more than we got before.
Half of all Americans now live in states under 100% GOP control. Wisconsin is an excellent example. The GOP controls both houses and Scott Walker has been re-elected three times in four years. All in close votes in a state that founded American socialism. Have you ever been to Madison Wisconsin?
Gun control is dead. Abortion is fading as an issue and getting harder in state after state. Racism as a rallying cry is dying. Welfare reform is obvious to everybody as is the need for a strong culture, the benefits of fatherhood and marriage.
Change comes from first dominating the thoughtspace. That's happening already. Next we win at the state, county and local level. That's already happening. Three Kentucky counties are fighting for right to work legislation at the county level.
If they win, think what that means for states like California, Illinois and New York. Those states are mostly GOP outside of their dense urban areas. Can you imagine the long term effects if a half dozen of those counties in those states had right to work in their county?
Toss in the Commerce Clause and the fact that so much of the trouble we face is caused by local, county and state zoning, licensing and permitting regulations and we have a ton of opportunities for victory.
It won't come easy, but nothing worth doing is ever easy.
What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: it is dearness only that gives every thing its value. Heaven knows how to put a proper price upon its goods; and it would be strange indeed if so celestial an article as freedom should not be highly rated.
- Thomas Paine, The American Crisis
Don't give up hope, that's how the liberals win by bullying us out of the way or into doing foolish things. Stay the course, FRiend!
Sickening.
To all who voted for all those republicans who voted for Boner, how do you feel? Think we’re getting anywhere by electing people just because they say they’re a republican?
ufda.......it was ‘kinda’ scary wondering if there were enough boehner defectors voting that coulda given the job to pelosi..........whew!
I don’t think Pelosi was ever going to get enough votes to win
Nonsense. She just didn’t throw away her vote in a wholly symbolic way. Boehner was going to win, no matter what. Mia will be a tremendous asset going forward.
We’re up against an army of giants and we’ll need all the Davids we can get, but they won’t all be in Washington. Look to the states my FRiend.
And Trey Gowdy didn’t show up. Isn’t that special! He’s just as big a fraud and blow hard as any of them.
Personally, none of it surprises me.
to who? Boehner and the establishment?
If there was a third party of true conservatives we’d have someone to vote for other than frauds like Gowdy. As it is now, we just get to stay home.
Bulletin folks, the GOP is in it too. You have no one representing you.
Proudly principled. Proudly conservative. Proudly third party.
The teary-faced jerk? Reelected? Must make a lot of democrats happy.
Mia’s on the list....the list you don’t want to be on, as a new Rep who ran as a conservative :(
I honestly hope she proves herself to be a real conservative. If not, she will get no more money from me.
The Kenyan wins another one. He gets to hold on to the House of Representatives.
Get away from me, Republican!
That's precisely the story the GOP uses every election cycle.
If you don't vote for us, DEMOCRATS will win and destroy everything you hold dear.
I now say, OK, Let's Gitter Done!
The sooner we have a conclusion, the better.
“I think I’ll call his office every day and ask him to resign for the good of the country.”
Have Fun.
With Apologies To Animal House
I think that this situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture be done on somebody’s part! And You’re Just The Guy To Do It.
