Yes, Bill de Blasio worries at night that, in a city where more than 90 percent of murders are committed by young black men, (his son,) Dante will be shot by a (white) cop. And he said this knowing full well that the police sergeant overseeing Garner's arrest was a black female officer.

As Ann has pointed out in so many words - Liberals HATE tobacco. Liberals don’t like the police. Liberals love it when the police enforce laws which punish people for evading taxes on cigarettes. But if someone dies because the police enforce the laws which forbid evading the taxes on cigarettes that liberals have imposed, then the liberals go into default mode and go back to HATING THE POLICE!

Cigarettes are still legal, only taxed so much they are expensive. So people have to resort to buying individual cigs $1 at a time to feed their habit.
If they just made them totally illegal people would STILL be selling them, only for $5 a piece because you would not even be allowed to be in possession of them (more risk, higher price)

The one thing you won’t see in any story about Eric Garner, is that the *only* reason he died is because of the extreme NYC cigarette taxes.
Had their cigarette taxes not be so obscene, making a pack of cigarettes cost $14, he would not have been able to make a lot of money evading those taxes.

Big deal! Marriages between blacks, whites, Hispanics, Irish, Italian, Japanese, etc. have been common in NYC for at least 50-60 years.
I come from a huge NYC family and we have so many interesting combinations. One cousin is an Irish/Jewish/Japanese guy who belongs to an Orthodox Synagogue!
