In both, they do not mention what might have caused his death. For all we know, he had a bullet hole through his head.
I have seen this tactic by the media for years. It's the same thing they do with TV shows when they go to commercial. Got to keep you hanging.

Reading a headline, "body of man discovered in front yard of apartment house" -- Ebola virus isn't one of the top three possible causes of death that I would think of.
