New 'Charlie Hebdo' averted: Belgian police say raid kills 2 ISIS-linked jihadists

Police stopped a "Belgian Charlie Hebdo" late Thursday, with government agents killing at least two in raids aimed at jihadists returning from Syria who were planning to launch terrorist attacks "on a grand scale," according to police and prosecutors.

The raids included one on an apartment above a bakery in the eastern city of Verviers, authorities said. They said no officers were injured and that the suspects opened fire on them as the swooped in. Authorities said the terror cell had ties to ISIS and was planning a major attack.

"We've averted a Belgian Charlie Hebdo," an unidentified police officer told La Meuse.

It was not known if the suspects in Belgium had direct links to the terror cell that carried out last week's attacks in Paris. But much of Europe is deeply concerned about homegrown jihadists sympatizers - and passport holders - who are returning battle-hardened from Iraq and Syria. Thursday's raids came as a man suspected of selling guns used in last week’s terror attacks in France was being detained in another part of the country.

Good work, but you know what we’re doing now?

We’re more or less simply waiting for them to radicalize and attack.

We’re COMPLETELY reactive, right now.

The first step should instead to simply bad all further immigration by Muslims.

They like Sharia? Let them live exclusively in places where Sharia prevails —that will assist them.

After putting that in place, then roll it back —no street mosques, no loud call to prayer. Later “safety inspections” of teetering minarets, then bans on them and fines.

Then “no more disguises” —turbans, bee-keeping outfits, etc.

Then special yearly taxes on Muslims, etc.

That may come but for now the leftist Quisling/Muslim invader alliance is holding.

Soon the metrosexual pacifist Euros will learn that thousands of AK-47s have been infiltrated into a 100 "no-go zones."

Hut-pursuits or raids into NGZs will be met with small arms and RPGs, and snipers and bombers let loose in Paris etc.

It took the Spanish centuries to evict them from the Iberian peninsula. They can be very hard to eradicate, once the roots are down.

IT's an evil attack cult, always attack, attack, attack.

OBL whined about the “tragedy of Andalusia” in one of his videos. Time to make future islamists whine about getting their asses evicted from the entire civilized world. Assuming there are any.

Was Charlie on a "grand scale?" It was well planned and executed that seems true. The other thing, is there seem to be this big, public terror sweeps in Europe every now and then. How come we don't have them here? Do we have no cells?

I know Europe is easier to get to, and closer to the muslim world, but it is odd the only things we have here are stings and crackpots and actual terror attacks, that only seem to be stopped by non-Feds, or they succeed.

LOL! Bee-keeping outfits.

I was just considering driving to a Dadant bee supply tomorrow for a new veil. (even though I presently have no bees, I know of some nearby areas that often have swarms in the spring)

Get 'em while the getting is good, before one has to have a license?

When they killed the guy at the Kosher Deli, Hyper Cache, I noticed, they used the flash or stun grenade, the Terrorist was stunned, you can watch the video, they shot him down, probably because they were afraid he might have a bomb on. That’s the way I see it, they had their pistols on him and just plugged him. The police are not fooling around with these guys, too much of a chance, the terrorists themselves could be rigged with an explosive and of course, the guy in the Hyper Cache Deli had a bullet proof vest on.

Carroll Quigley in Tragedy and Hope makes the case that traces of the Islamic occupation remain even today in the Spanish culture and its derivatives.

It’s definitely in the language.

“I wish so!”, something like that, “Ojala”, “Allah” can sort of be seen in that word, “OjALA”.
