Why Hillary Clinton won’t run for president
Washington Times ^ | January 15, 2015 | Wesley Pruden

Posted on 01/16/2015 3:49:07 AM PST by Zakeet

Hillary can’t win, and that’s why she won’t run. She may not know that yet herself, but a lot of Democrats want her because she’s all they’ve got. The Republicans are counting on her to run because they think she’s the candidate they can beat in what looks from here like it could be a Republican year.

Against every positive, there’s two or three negatives. Everyone has a list. Many women like her, some women worship her. Most men despise her. She reminds them of their ex-wives. Life is not fair. Men, a wise man said, are assumed to be competent until they prove otherwise; that was Mr. Obama’s good fortune in 2008, when nobody looked at him closely. Women are thought to be incompetent until they prove otherwise, as many women in politics and business do every day. Getting credit is not easy.

[Snip]

She’s stiff and wooden as a public speaker, as if trying to prove Dr. Johnson’s famous aphorism that a woman preaching is like a dog trying to walk on its hind legs. Hillary is tone-deaf besides. She’s always starting on her “back foot,” as the English say, and she’s a mediocre campaigner, too. Bubba would never have said the family, with millions in the bank, was “dead broke. Not because it was a lie but because everybody in America knew it was a lie. A skilled politician would never have asked, after the Benghazi debacle, “What difference, at this point, does it make?” Whatever gift for politics she has, she got from imitating Bubba. Voters won’t be satisfied with a pale imitation, and nobody listens to two-time losers.

I’d like to believe that there’s enough fatigue on the left with the clintons that they would move on. However I should point out that progressives also still believe that their socialist policies work and given enough time, money and error they will lead us into utopia.

My point being, we are clearly not dealing with sanity here, so all assumptions based on that component of clear and sound reasoning are invalid.

All I can say after seeing that photo is; poor Bill, no man, not even a democrat, should have to wake up to that in the morning.

I certainly hope so, too. I always marveled at her invention of the “listening tour.” Traipsing around NY state “listening” to the people. She did that because she had nothing of value to offer on her own.

Still, today, she has nothing to offer - anyone. If she decides to foray into the election, I certainly hope the three harbingers dog her: Benghazi, Slick and slaver Epstein, and her repertoire of proven lies.

She should just trot on back to Chappaqua and bake cookies for Webb’s grandchild...

I didn't read the whole article, but I've said for a long time that she comes across as a tired, worn-out hag. This may be totally sexist, but age works against women in politics in a way that it doesn't work against men.

I suspect even a lot of Democratic voters are tired of her. By the time 2016 rolls around she will have been in the public view for almost 25 years. Many of the core Democratic supporters weren't even born 25 years ago.

Good post. Keep in mind that she was considered the front-runner in 2008, and it was progressive Democrats who pushed her aside in favor of that jug-eared nitwit of an exchange student from Kenya.

I’d take my ex over Shillary any day.

Ugh. A face that could stop a train.

Hillary’s feet are in the stirrups, but her a$$ is on the ground.

The article has numerous failed premises.

First, it assumes that the only reason to run is to win. Many times, an ol’ war horse is brought in just as a placeholder, when the party doesn’t think it will win. William Jennings Bryan and Bob Dole come to mind. Sometimes it is a candidate whose backers would rather go with the best guy than the most electBle (Goldwater).

In HRCs case, getting the nomination puts her in the history books. she can use the elecyion to settle old scores, and who knows? lightning mght strike and she may draw a Bush or a Romney.

” She reminds them of their ex-wives.”

That would be a drug-addled, savage and vicious drunk. The psychosis was courtesy of her mother.
