According to the protest organizer, six protestors in the southern blockade stuck their arms into holes in the sides of 55-gallon drums and had concrete poured over them. Firefighters had to use power saws to cut open the drums, which weighed 1,200 pounds. The Boston Globe reports: “When a Boston firefighter’s power saw generated sparks that flew onto the protester, he screamed in pain.”
The protestors wore diapers, anticipating a long wait.

Maybe make them “ unarmed”...
The fire department should have saved time and just pushed them into the Charles, they could have become reefs. :)
Should have used heavy equipment to move them to the harbor, still in their barrel suits.

Obama has created the environment, and the Red Guards now know how far they can go to create public havoc without any fear of consequence from the top.
They should have just lifted the concrete barrels with a small crane, taken them to the side of the road, and left the protestors attached to them. Let them find their own way out.

Unless they called in extra shifts, I don't see any incremental cost. These guys get paid the same whether they're snoozin in the firehouse, or out working.

Like I said in one of the other threads. Hose them down with the deck gun on a fire engine. At 300 psi, maybe 150 psi or less if the engine man is feeling charitable, the demonstrators will at least be clean.
