Synopsis: Black gay male couple with children "heartwarming" ad for Nikon cameras. 2:12.

It's really ad ad for homosexuality, with the cameras seemingly only incidental. The brand name is first mentioned more than halfway into the ad.

Nice way to make sure Black won’t buy Nikons. My Black friends are the most “anti-gay” of all

Wow! How cool! This ad will appeal to the 1.5 percent of humans who are homosexual. The rest of us are supposed to think “Oh, this camera company cares about people who have different wiring.” How many cameras will the ad sell? Maybe one or two.

Id expect that this ad is gonna get pulled. before Nikon starts losing a LOT of “market share”.

"Less than 3 percent of the population identified themselves as gay, lesbian or bisexual, the CDC reported."

Their highly paid marketing gurus made the call that this will gain them more market share than it will cost them. Will it? I dunno. Maybe, maybe not. There is probably a "halo effect" among incorrigible liberals. The total market sales of $1000 cameras to gay black couples with children probably doesn't amount to much more than a rounding error.

The target of such ads isn’t just the 3% homos, but also the larger cohort of libs.

I’ve owned a series of Nikon cameras since the 70s. You’ve bought photographic perfection, IMHO.

I had a Fuji FinePix before this one and an old Minolta SLR before that. This is my first Nikon, but so far I love it!
