I think you all are lacking true judgement and good faith.
Give him a slap and let him go. He did not mean to be a criminal, he thought he was stopping a criminal. That is where the judgement comes in. He may have violated the letter, but not the spirit of the law. This society would be alot better if we remembered the spirit instead of scrapping over pointless details.
Um, no.
I’d develop neck and back problems and sue this moron into bankruptcy. I’d show up at every point in the criminal process and demand his incarceration. Then I’d object to his parole. During his probation, if he got it, I’d have him followed by hired detectives and if he violated the terms even once I’d have him reincarcerated.
No mercy for the stupid.
He assaulted a law abiding citizen. End of story.
His motivation was apparently that anyone with a gun is a criminal, in his world view, which is a farce.
He’ll more than deserve whatever comes to him because of this.
How the hell do you know what he was thinking?
Really?
So if I get hurt, because someone was well intentioned, no big deal?
What if I had a violent allergic reaction to be tackled, as I have had before?
Is it my bad because a do gooder was being belpful?
Come on, you don't believe that either.
The spirit of the law is that a person carrying concealed should be allowed to go about his business unmolested.
Foster violated both the letter AND the spirit of the law.
“Stopping a criminal”? Because he had a firearm on him??!!! You forgot your sarc. tag, Some FReepers might really believe you were serious with that liberal like crap you just wrote. Good God....
