Man arrested after tackling shopper carrying gun
RIVERVIEW (FOX 13) -
Hillsborough deputies arrested a man who spotted someone with a gun, followed him into a Walmart,
and tackled him. The problem? The man with the gun had a concealed weapons permit, and the man who
rushed him didn’t call 911 or alert store security.
According to the sheriff’s office, Michael Foster, 43, saw Clarence Daniels, 57, in the Walmart
parking lot with a gun holstered under his coat.
Foster followed Daniels into the store, put him in a choke-hold and brought him to the ground,
the sheriff’s office said. He then started yelling that Daniels had a gun.
A struggle ensued, with Daniels yelling that he had a permit. Security detained both men
until deputies arrived.
They confirmed Daniels had a permit for the gun, and arrested Foster.

What a TOTAL idiot. I hope he gets the book thrown at him for assault, and any other crime they can think of.
If I were the innocent guy with the gun, I’d suddenly have ‘back or neck problems’ and sue the guy for as much as I can get.
He’s probably some idiot ‘implant’ from New England or California where the sight of anyone with a gun causes them to piss their pants. This one probably takes Testosterone supplements though, which caused him to act out with his stupidity.

“Placed him in a chokehold and took him down against his will AND without permission.” This has to be taken verbatim from the police report. I think there is a class in the academy that teaches new cops to write in a strange manner.
I guess this guy didn’t know that one in 19 people n Florida have carry permits, and those are concealed WEAPONS permits that also allow concealed carry of otherwise illegal to carry long bladed knives and lead slaps of the type some cops carry.
Oh come on, give the guy props for having guts. And good intentions.

In Oklahoma, when they passed that open carry law, I saw a guy in Walmart early on morning (about 6 AM) with a weapon holstered, walking around and shopping. At first I was startled, but I did remember the open carry law just went into effect ... :-) ...

Did Mr. Foster have a comment on the Zimmerman-St. Trayvon incident? In other words, is it worse to be carrying a gun, or to be a wannabe cop?
I think you all are lacking true judgement and good faith.
Give him a slap and let him go. He did not mean to be a criminal, he thought he was stopping a criminal. That is where the judgement comes in. He may have violated the letter, but not the spirit of the law. This society would be alot better if we remembered the spirit instead of scrapping over pointless details.
Will Walmart ban the shopper from all future shopping at Walmart?
