My 17 year OLD son brought his best pal over to the house and asked him what he was doing school now.
He told me civil rights again.
I said I thought he did that last year and he told me he;s done it every year since K
Do they ever make movies about the black slave ships who sold their own people into slavery in America? Or how about the slave owners who owned plantations along the banks of the Mississippi who owned slaves? I guess not that would not keep racial tension at peak performance.

The amusement industry thrives on novelty. They aren't going to award the same kind of movie every year, and they aren't going to give in to somebody's notion of what's high-minded. After Gandhi won they weren't in the mood for another movie about India right away either.
Oprah has enough money by now that she could do what Robert Redford did -- set up her own film festival that awards the same kind of movie every year and encourages cinematic uniformity. Make the festival enough of a bid deal and she won't have to worry so much about the Oscars.
The endless articles about race and racism have gotten boring. Same for showing up to make the same kind of comment about those articles. "Benign neglect" may not have been such an awful idea after all.
I think “racial sickness” is a better concept.
I am tired of it
