It was a yuth!
Patriot detractors = low information fans
Brady came across as someone who was trying to hide something. In his defense, I always suspected he was covering for a low-level Patriots staff member who has a lot more to lose than Brady does.
I was never a fan of Belichick, and I think New England's brushes with the rules are a problem for the NFL. But over the last few days I've gone back and watched some old DVDs of the New York Giants during their dominant stretch from the mid-1980s to the early 1990s when Belichick was their defensive coordinator. The more I see of him over a long period of time, the more I think he's really just an odd guy with a great football mind who can pick the game apart and analyze it in great detail to gain an edge. He's probably got all kinds of indications of OCD-type behavior.
I’ve been searching for a way to use Obama and flatulent in the same sentence.
He’s nothing but hot air.
“Air apparent”? Is there a pun I’m missing, or is the writer just at dolt?
Deflategate reminds me of last line of a paper that was no more than an anti-voter ID diatribe I found at the NYU Brennan Justice center, they are against anything that may prevent election fraud. The line was “Voter ID only makes a difference in a close election anyway”. Deflated footballs wouldn’t make a difference in a 45-7 blowout but didn’t NE have a few close games? If this is a pattern that may have made the differences in close games as to what teams are in the playoffs or has field advantage, this could if done over a period of time have given NE a big advantage. I didn’t even mention the point spread, but I’m sure no one here unless they’re in Nevada would bet on a ball game.
I am a native New Englander and couldn’t be prouder of the Patriots franchise. Robert Kraft is genuinely a nice guy. He’s been philanthropic and kind. When the Bengals came to Foxboro this year the Patriots cheerleaders came out at one point wearing Bengals #75 jerseys in honor of Devin Still’s daughter Leah who 4 years old and fighting cancer. They are the class of the NFL on the field as well. This isn’t even close. The only franchise since 2000 with a .700 winning percentage. 3 Super Bowl wins in 5 trips not counting this Sunday’s game. 9 AFC Championship games. To be clear, no man is perfect. Not Kraft, not Belichick, not Brady. But the Patriots and their fans have been using the hashtag on Twitter: “they hate us because they ain’t us”, and it seems they are correct. Win or lose come Sunday the level of excellence of the New England Patriots makes them the model to be copied in professional football.
But, at the end of the day, what really matters is the Bruins bringing another Stanley Cup back to Boston!
