Gratuitous insults do not further a conversation even if the purpose is interrogation. How about “Get a grip on yourself, we can get help to you quicker.”
There must be a law against having a heart, or something.
Try getting useful information from someone who is in a state of shock and fixated on a traumatic event. Sometimes a “refocus” is needed. If the recording is representative of the conversation, this is the story of a dispatcher trying to get the best information possible as quickly as possible. Feelings can happen later. Thanks to recent proclamations by our Just Us Department we need to ask if it was a “Poor choice of words” or the right to be offended because he didn’t sound black enough.
Good luck! He is probably a Member of the union and he will have a long wait until he is fired. Once fired he will sue and an arbitrator will reinstate him with back pay.
