"...Walker was asked Wednesday if he has ever done the same. His answer:
"No," Walker said. "The wildest thing I did in college was have a beer."
Also this week, two other GOP presidential wannabes New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and U.S. Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky have suggested parents should have the option of having their children vaccinated.
Walker said Wednesday that he is a big supporter of vaccinations to prevent serious health issues. He noted that he and his children have received vaccines.
"My wife and I send out a card to all newborns, in conjunction with Hallmark, to encourage people to get vaccinated," the governor said.
So vaccines should be mandatory?
Not quite.
"I think it's an issue that should be left up to the states, just like we're doing here (in Wisconsin)," he responded.
Does that mean the governor would be OK with a state making vaccinations entirely optional? He didn't exactly say.
"It's up to the states, and all the states right now have a rule," he said. "The only difference is, state by state, some have no leeway, some have some flexibility. But everybody has a law on the books."
But things got really squishy only when Walker was asked by a Journal Sentinel reporter about his earlier statements that he wouldn't run for president until the 2015-'17 budget became law. He just proposed his budget plan this week.
Obviously, Walker changed his mind on that pledge.
But he denied this was the case.
"As of today, I am not a candidate for president, so nothing has changed in that regard," he said....

Uhh, what?
That rules him out for me.
Do note that the beer in Wisconsin is stronger than the beer in Maryland.
Is it herbal beer?
...but he didn’t swallow.
“....The $1.3 billion in transportation borrowing would be about 30% above the $991 million in loans in the current two-year budget. A coalition of the transportation industry and local governments said Walker’s plan would mean that one in four dollars in the road fund would go toward paying off debt.
“That is a significant, ongoing and growing expenditure that seriously weakens the transportation building blocks that support our state’s jobs, economy and quality of life,” said a written statement from the group, which includes the Transportation Development Association, the Wisconsin Transportation Builders Association and the Wisconsin Counties Association.
.......Walker would keep the state gas tax steady at 32.9 cents per gallon, despite calls from his transportation secretary to raise it. Two cents from the existing gas tax is meant to go toward cleaning up leaking underground fuel tanks, but Walker would use more than half the money that surcharge generates $21 million a year to pay for roads.
He would end the program for underground fuel tanks in 2017, which would allow the 2-cents-per-gallon tax to be used entirely for transportation in the future.
In addition, Walker would issue $220 million in state bonds to help finance a new professional basketball arena but provide no other new borrowing for state buildings. The loan would be paid off by growth in income taxes from Milwaukee Bucks players, employees and visiting teams.
In all, the state would have the authority to issue $1.56 billion in bonds over the next two years the lowest amount in a decade.....
...Walker’s budget would also keep property taxes in check by sending roughly $300 million in state aid to schools but earmarking it for holding down taxes.
The tax freeze is drawing wide praise from Republicans who control the Legislature. But Democrats and some Republicans criticized the proposal for giving no new money to public schools while it expands taxpayer-funded private voucher funds.
The expansion of private schools would be funded by taking the state tax dollars that would have otherwise gone to the students’ local public school. That pot of money would then be divided up among the participating voucher schools so each private school got the same amount per student.....”
Scott Walker age 2...............
: ) Must have had something to do with his upbringing....

“March 09, 2011 “The Progressive” - -The dogmatic unwillingness of Wis. Gov. Scott Walker to negotiate or to compromise with Democrats or unions has surprised many people in the state. One explanation for his attitude may be found in his religious convictions.
In a talk to the Christian Businessmens Committee in Madison on November 13, 2009, Walker, who was raised by a Baptist preacher, spoke about his personal relationship with God, his walk to Christ, and his belief in the need to trust and obey the Lord.........”
So he preferred a different drug. Good for him.
Well, that explains his love for beer.............
Lol!
I wish these guys would give the proper answer which is “do you have any serious questions or should I move to the next reporter?”
Good point, maybe he is OK after all. I bet Rand beats them all as far as drugs go.
Wasn't it the Shotz beer brewery that Lavern and Shirley worked at in WI?
"I think it's an issue that should be left up to the states, just like we're doing here (in Wisconsin)," he responded."
State powers are not a matter of opinion Gov. Walker. You should know that its the 10th Amendment which you have sworn to protect and defend.
I thought Walker didn’t complete college.
So, he Ives in Wisconsin, Beer & Cheese!
