Let me get a friend down here. He knows all about this stuff. He can tell us what it’s worth and we can go from there.
Looks as if the document was found in a disintegrating condition and the owner of the scrapbook glued the remaining pieces onto the pages to capture it before it really did fall to pieces. Actually cannot tell how much is missing because the outside borders of the document are aligned with the outside edges of the scrapbook pages when it was affixed. This creates the “1/3 missing” gap. Only developing a restored version with the missing lines of text inserted into the blank spaces will reveal how much is missing.
Even with its deteriorated state, I have to marvel at the beauty of the calligraphy and the skill needed to produce so many straight lines of petite script with a quill pen - or did they have metal nibs by this time?
