Senate GOP Leaders Prepare to Cave on Amnesty

Even as reports emerge demonstrating that President Obama’s executive amnesty will precipitate voter fraud by granting driver’s licenses and social security numbers to illegal immigrants, Republican leaders are already preparing to cave on the immigration issue.

The House of Representatives has passed a bill that would fund the Department of Homeland Security except for President Obama’s executive amnesty program. Now, the Senate is stonewalling, with Democrats voting repeatedly not to take up the bill, insisting instead that Republicans pass a bill funding the executive amnesty along with the rest of the DHS.

Which means that we’re nearing Republican surrender.

Speaker of the House John Boehner (R-OH) maintains that it is time for Democrats in the Senate “to get off their ass and do something other than vote ‘no.’” But Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) is preparing the groundwork for the cave, stating, “I think it’s clear we can’t go forward in the Senate unless you all have heard something I haven’t. And so the next move, obviously, is up to the House.”

That’s nonsense. When Republicans represented the Senate minority during the Obamacare shutdown, the media declared that Republicans were obstructionists. Now that Democrats are in the minority, the shoe is on the other foot. And despite Republican fears that the Obamacare shutdown would crush electoral prospects, Republicans won a sweeping victory in 2014.

5 million already amnestied in the “shadow” system, and then another 10 million with this one. It’s always double or triple what they say.

15, 20 million amnestied by the time this racist thug leaves office.

So much for the “11 million” illegals they keep chatting about.

And one man decides. The electorate and the Congress be damned.

And this was supposed to be where the GOP took a stand. Remember the argument put forward when the Repbus passed a budget for the year rather than fighting. They wanted to get a gov’t shutdown off the table and fight amnesty with the DHS funding bill. You’d think the Repubs would finally get it through their heads that they will never win with the current leadership that they keep reelecting year after year. Boehner and McConnell don’t know how to fight. Makes one think they agree with what Obama and the Dems are doing because if not they would win once in a while just by numbers.

Supporting amnesty is supporting Democrats and the leftist hegemony of his country, which is exactly what we should expect from the Republican left. They work for Democrats.

Surely there are more than 535 lamp posts?

I hope the Senate will stand firm and blame the dumblecrats because there is no bill...

They took it from the azzholes for 6 years...payback time.

But Boehner and McConnel WANT amnesty...I just hope they are defeated and NO bill gets passed.

I suggested before the election that we didn’t need the Senate as long as we kept a conservative caucus in the House. At this point I fail to see how a Democrat senate could be any worse. Oh sure, the Keystone Pipeline finally made it to the floor (Yawn), but Obama is still getting his terrible appointments, House bills are still being held up, and the intent of the voters is still being ignored. The only silver lining, I think the Republicans’ cowardice is going to make it tougher for a rino to prevail in the Presidential primaries. The people spoke, they want change, the current crop of go-along-to-get-along Republicans are proving they are not up to the task.

I really wonder why the Republicans were so desperate to retake the Senate. Was it all just for larger offices?
