This is a surprising poll result for liberal California.
Stay out the Bushes.
Rice or Harris? That’s a no brainer.
California leadership over the past 60 years has oscillated left and right. Over time, though, both “left” and “right” have gotten lefter and lefter. The trend has been relentless.
That would help break the Dem hold on California, but Rice is no conservative. She would be a moderate at best — with liberal tendencies.
Condo is not exactly a conservative but she would be a vast improvement over Boxer and certainly better than the Camel woman.
Rice is a popular person, but time and time again she has expressed no interest in running for political office. The job she really wants is NFL Commissioner.
I always thought she was hot. But she’s gay, isn’t she?
Is Condoleezza Rice even running?
I got no problem with this.
Rice vs. the Criminal Kamala?
Don’t care if she was the uber-neocon. Elect now.
There is no way for any Republican to win a statewide race in California. Voting in California is like voting in North Korea. The outcome is a forgone conclusion.
I wish Condi luck. She would get my vote if I lived in her district.
No McClintock?
No hope.
Most of California has had it. They know its going down the toilet. The irony is, while it is headed down the toilet, there isn’t enough water to flush.
People are starting to figure out we need to get some adults behind the controls pretty quick.

A State Department ceremony [2006], Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice warmly acknowledged the family members of Mark Dybul, whom she was swearing in as the nation's new global AIDS coordinator.
As first lady Laura Bush looked on, Rice singled out his partner, Jason Claire, and Claire's mother. Rice referred to her as Dybul’s mother-in-law.
Kamila by a mile.
Rice would have to be an vast improvement over Boxer or the presumed replacement Kamala “I’m not pursuing the death penalty against cop killers” Harris. She’s likely a Scott Brown type, politically speaking - liberal on social issues, good on defense and fiscal matters. Not ideal, but I’ll take it in deep blue California.
That said, I don’t think she’ll run. She’s not shown much interest in politics, and has kept many of her political positions to herself. She seems a rather private person.
There is, also, the potential 800-pound elephant in the room. There have been whispers about Rice’s sexual orientation since day one. IF she is gay, she’s chosen to keep it a private matter. It would not stay private if she ran for elected office. And it would be used against her by some of the folks who claim to be “okay with gay.” I can just see Flynt and Allred salivating at the chance to smear and destroy Rice.
She would be the Sen. Collins of the West.
About as good as we could hope for from CA.
Go, Condi!
Funny but that is a really good fit.
We are never going to get a conservative or GOP-e to take Boxer’s seat but Rice might be able to do it.
Lots of Silicon Valley connections.
Still a bit of a longshot but there are LOTS of worse Republicans we could put in there.
