NEW YORK (Reuters) - A grand jury returned an indictment of Sheldon Silver, the former New York State Assembly speaker, for federal corruption charges on Thursday, federal prosecutors said.

According to the story, his lawyer says “he’s not guilty!” So he needs to have black lawyer Larry L. Archie (from North Carolina) on his defense team. Larry’s billboard says: “Just Because You Did it, Doesn’t Mean You’re Guilty.” Now, there’s a real defense strategy. Just hope this bastard goes to jail for the rest of his life and has a queer, horny cellmate.

Silver's replacement has ethics questions of his own (including his expense account), and as one of his first priorities is to set up an ethics commision (CYA).
