Communication is the least that the people of al-Baghdadi worry about. With ISIS in charge, all kinds of human supply into the town have been stopped as a means to break the city resistance. Food, medicine, water, electricity and fuel have been withheld by ISIS.
“The people of al-Baghdadi are living in a true tragedy. They are facing death in every way: hunger, thirst, diseases and the extreme cold,” said sheikh al-Obaidi. Three children died today after drinking unclean water. Dozens of others were hospitalized.
“The Iraqi government is responsible for the lives of those executed by ISIS or still prisoners.... It has never answered our requests carried by formal and tribal delegations to Baghdad to act and save 50,000 people under ISIS siege in al-Baghdadi. As if we are all sentenced to genocide,” said sheikh Qatari al-Semermed, another tribal leader of al-Obaid tribe in the town.
I’d love to see the USMC go up against these slime balls, but something tells me the Commander in Chief would find a way to hang our troops out to dry.
Duke NukemI think it is time Obama took action. He needs to setup a meeting to assess their skill sets to determine the best fits for them in government positions. But he needs to hold these job interviews over there, in Iraq. No fair hiding behind your soldiers now Obama. Those be the rules of engagement for you.

I remember reading Starfarers by Vonda McIntire as a teen. Space station, interracial group marriage, genetic engineering - all plausible for 40-50 years in our future. The Middle East Sweep that she imagined spreading out across the Middle East and plunging a quarter of the world into the ninth century? It seemed implausible then, given how communism had fallen and freedom was spreading.
Now the “Middle East Sweep” / ISIS is the only part of her book that is coming true.
