Senator Marco Rubio, Republican of Florida, stood in front of reporters before a book signing here, pondering the question that has dogged him ever since Jeb Bush announced his plans to pursue a presidential bid: How does a Bush candidacy complicate Mr. Rubio’s own Oval Office aspirations, especially among donors?
“I’ve never had that question before,” Mr. Rubio said, with a laugh.

And though he is not expected to make any official announcement until April, he is quietly telling donors that he is committed to running for president, not re-election to the Senate. (During a stop in Las Vegas, Mr. Rubio met privately with Sheldon Adelson, the casino magnate and major Republican donor. Neither Mr. Rubio nor Mr. Adelson’s team would comment on what the two men had discussed.)
Rubio has shown he is a whore for the Chamber of Commerce so he could possibly siphon some support from Dauphin Bush. But he is very good at throwing rhetorical red meat at the GOP base so will further fracture the GOP base vote. I think the GOPe would be very comfortable with Rubio if the Dauphin Bush falters.
Neither one of these mopes can win, so what is the game plan? Will the Bush corporatist goons tell Rubio to bow out?
Rubio is a mediocre senator representing a mediocre state. He’s already risen to the level of his incompetence.
Outside of immigration what issues do you have with Rubio? He’s been fairly solid on conservative issues, that withstanding.
I think the elites are drooling over a win-win Jeb vs Hillary race.
Jeb would be fileted as soon as he wins the nomination. He will be hoisted on his brothers petard.
Scared to death of Cruz and Walker, the MSM continues its desperate promotion of a man they know cannot win.

The game plan is to not allow us to elect a President who WILL enforce the laws and secure the border.
The Cheap Labor Express has paid for an amnesty candidate and they will get it.
If we get a RINO CoC nominee the R’s will go the way of the whigs.
You could say the same about Jeb, McCain and Lindsey Graham.

Yes. Rubio is letting himself be used again. He will go around gathering support for as long as possible until he finally steps out of the race and throws his full support behind Jeb.
And yet many of the wizard’s of smart on FR are taking great care to blast Governor Walker.
Once again we’ll make Liberal’s work easy this presidential election; we’ll destroy our own candidates...one by one.
If not Walker then someone else. Do don’t worry you will get your pro amnesty H-1B lover candidate anyway.
