Senate Dems keep pressure on Boehner over DHS

A group of Senate Democrats on Monday pressed House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) to allow a vote on a "clean" bill to fund the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). 

The Senate voted Monday to block the formation of a conference committee on the department's budget, and sent a "clean" funding bill back to the House.

"It's time for Speaker Boehner to put the bill that fully funds the Department of Homeland Security on the House floor for a vote," Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) told reporters during a press conference with Sens. Jeanne Shaheen (D-N.H.), Tom Carper (D-Del.) and Debbie Stabenow (D-Mich.)

A Democratic leadership aide said there is “no question” that Boehner promised Democrats a vote this week on legislation that would fund the department through September. Boehner's spokesman Michael Steel, however, said Monday that there was no deal.

Schumer suggested that Boehner could easily end the legislative stalemate surrounding the DHS spending bill with "the snap of his fingers."

"Speaker Boehner has the ability to end this standoff with the snap of his fingers," the New York Democrat said. "This has already gone too far. ISIS isn't funded a week at a time. Al-Shabab isn't funded a week at a time." 

 

But conservative Republicans have balked at passing legislation that doesn't explicitly roll back Obama's executive actions on immigration. 

 

Democrats have accused Republicans of playing games with the country's national security. Lawmakers passed a one-week bill to fund the department last week, meaning DHS is scheduled to run out funding at the end of Friday.

 

"With terror threats all around us, the Republicans continue to play politics with Homeland Security funding," Stabenow said. "We're here to say enough is enough."

The Department of Homeland Security has released 36,000 criminal illegal immigrants since 2013. The survivors of their many victims are suing them.
ICE has been made into the `Welcome Wagon’ for illegals.
Only Democrats could say with a straight face that Republicans aren’t concerned about “national security” because they won’t fund a “clean” funding bill for the DHS and Jeh Johnson.

Again and again NO mention of why House republicans are doing this. Nothing but criticism without even a word of the real issue behind it.

And then the worst part, after hiding the issue and blasting the republicans - many of these reports were from Fox News Radio

A courageous and patriotic lady from WCBM.AM, who hosts a radio show on weekends in Baltimore, blew the whistle on amnesty on Mark Levin show a few days ago with incredible details of 3 high level conference calls. She managed to listen in to reps from 16 WH bureaus talk about Obama’s REAL plans for amnesty. The Task Force on New Americans is panting with glee about a plan taken right out of Mao’s Red China or Chavez’s Venezuela. It’s so Anti-American and Unconstitutional, it’s unreal. All they need is unrestricted DHS funding to go forward with it.

This shocker is making the rounds and a lot of waves, but it really needs to get on Drudge before Friday’s vote on DHS funding! If the American people discovered the truth about what these 16 bureau reps under Obama were told to do, amnesty would NOT get funded. The RINOS would be too scared of a HUGE backlash from the public to pass it.

Voters- We elected huge Republican majorities in both Houses to stop Obama!

GOP leadership- The voters elected Republicans to work together with our colleagues the Democrats to compromise and reach across the aisle to get things done in Washington.You can't let some ideologues obstruct the process when you have to pick your battles and this isn't the fight we want to have right now. When the time is right we will be prepared to fight we just don't have the numbers or the White House currently. We have to settle for the best deal the Democrats will allow us to have (on their terms of course) but don't worry we're bringing out the big guns for 2016! Jeb is tan,rested,and ready!
