The Republican Who Can Win
PJMedia ^ | 3/1/2015 | Andrew Klavan

I sincerely wish that GOP candidates who cannot win the presidency would simply not run and save us all the trouble. Ben Carson, Chris Christie, Lindsey Graham, Rick Perry — none of these people is going to be the next president of the United States and each of them could do his country and his party a service by staying out of the race. Rand Paul and Mike Huckabee both stand a slim shadow of a ghost of a chance but I wish they’d drop out, too. Presidential Candidate is not supposed to be a prestigious line on your CV. It’s something you become when you think you have a real opportunity to do some good to your native land.

As for those who have a path to victory — Scott Walker, Jeb Bush, Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz — I will now tell you which one is the truly viable candidate, the only Republican who could actually win the general.

The Republican who can win the general is whichever one realizes that he is running against the news media.

The Democrats have nothing. Their presumptive candidate is a corrupt old crone who has lied to and double-dealt this country far too long. Their current president has done us the favor of showing us the utter worthlessness of the leftist agenda. He has made the collective life of the country worse at every level except the executive level. When it comes to the Democrats and their philosophy, the white is coming off the sepulcher.

But while the left has no practical or moral legitimacy and no candidate who can plausibly represent even their empty promises, they do have one weapon left: the news media. NBC News, ABC News, CBS News, CNN, the New York Times, the Washington Post — each one of these corrupt mouthpieces and all their little acolytes and satellites not only speak for the Democrats but seek to destroy anyone who stands against them. We’ve seen the signs in these last weeks as Scott Walker’s star has risen and the Democrat toadies have rushed out to hound him with meaningless questions in hopes of a “gotcha” moment.

Do you believe in evolution? Is Barack Obama a Christian? Does Barack Obama love America? And soon to come: Do you believe in abortion in cases of rape and incest? Even worse, if a Republican candidate fumbles any of these answers, Candy Crowley won’t even rush in to help him out!

Walker has won both election and Re-election in Uber-Blue Milwaukee County and in Purple-Blue Wisconsin while running as an unapologetic conservative.

THere are not enough conservatives voters in the county or in the state for that to be the sole reason he won.

Perhaps you would be more comfy on DU, because it’s painfully clear you don’t care about America. Holding your nose and voting GOP is only pushing the party further left. Congratulations. May your chains rest lightly, and may posterity forget you were our countryman.

It’s not his fault that the GOP has given him no reason to vote for its candidate.

It’s the GOP’s fault.

If you want to vote for the GOP, knock yourself out, but I don’t think you are going to have any success is guilt tripping others into supporting your treacherous party.

Why should the GOP be placed in charge of this country?

What has the GOP accomplished to earn the honor of that duty?

Klavin in is right, the press is the mouthpiece of the democrat party. Carson needs to run for the troll mikulski’s senate seat.

So you, dware, support Hillary Clinton. You are out of the closet now. Thanks for your honesty.

The GOP needs to campaign for and WIN the votes of conservatives. If conservatives refuse to vote for them, the blame belongs to the GOP for failing to capture that vote. Calling them a Hillary Clinton supporter for the failure of the GOP - well, you might as well say that the GOP is campaigning for Hillary and assign the proper blame there.

Walker and Bush are the only two that stand a chance and I don’t want another Bush in the White House.

I think Bush decided to run to siphon votes away from Walker.

Dang those Republicans, they want to beat the Dem in 2016.

Why is that so important to them?

I am just curious...if you vote 3rd party to make a point and Hillary wins will you be happier? Do you have a third party you would recommend? Who is their candidate? What positions do they take which are better than, say, Walker or Cruz? If a Cruz/Walker ticket arises, would you still be against moving the country away from the demonic left?

That kind of thinking got the first Clinton elected twice. The same kind of people who did that might as well elect a Clinton for a third time.

” Dang those Republicans, they want to beat the Dem in 2016.”

Lets see who they put up. They didn’t care if they won in 08 or 12.

The next GOP candidate will have to come across like a revolutionary. Really pull out all the stops.

Otherwise people will not bother to vote. They won't go for more of the same.
