That is the epitaph spoken by Speaker Boehner ally Representative Tom Cole on the collapse of House Leadership’s resolve to legislatively fight Executive Amnesty.
It may also be the final nail in the coffin for the notion of co-equal branches of government, as President Obama has already announced that he is considering using unilateral executive actions to ban ammunition and raise corporate taxes, on top of his massive Internet regulation announced last week.

This must now be a multi-state war against D.C. politicians.

I’m seriously considering voting a straight D ticket. Give them total control, because the sooner they burn the place to the ground, the sooner LIVs will take notice and we can rebuild. If the LIVs don’t take notice, there was never a chance.
As Ted Cruz said, the reason the obzo amnesty funding was attached to the funding of the DHS was a ploy to ensure it all passed intact. It was a given before the theatrics ever started.

Your assessment agrees with mine. Amnesty that gives the Rats a permanent majority AND capitulation on executive power that puts the last bullet through the head of the Constitution. Boner has done one hell of a day’s work. A whole lot of misery, anguish and injustice is going to be on him.
He didn’t have to win the DHS vote. All he had to do was tie it up and keep a clean bill from passing. Shutting DHS vs losing our nation is a no-brainer. He had the ability to stop this and he did not do it. He chose the worst of the options.
We had a great country while it was ours.
