The National Socialist Movement has scheduled an April 18 return to Toledo, nearly a decade after a planned rally ignited rioting in the city.
The neo-Nazi groups Oct. 15, 2005, demonstration preceded a riot and the arrest of more than 100 people.
Angry crowds attacked emergency workers, burned down a bar, and looted two convenience stores.
Next months rally is planned for 3:30 p.m. outside One Government Center, said Dan Donaldson, 36, of the Toledo area.
Mr. Donaldson is the movements regional director representing Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, and West Virginia.
There is somebody out there for white peoples interests and white peoples rights. Theres somebody who cares, he said.
Toledo is comparable to many cities across the country battling violent crime that victimizes white people, he said, and membership numbers are strong in the region, Mr. Donaldson said.
Mr. Donaldson said the National Socialist Movement plans a peaceful rally and does not hate anyone for the color of their skin.
Police canceled the October, 2005, march near Woodward High School before it began.
Members of the crowd, which numbered more than 500 people, stayed and threw rocks and bricks at law enforcement officials. A spokesman for the National Socialist Movement said at the time the group wanted to show support for a white North Toledo man in an ongoing dispute with a black neighbor.
A second rally on Dec. 10, 2005, at One Government Center resulted in fewer arrests....

No offense to the wonderful Mud Hens but — what could there possibly be in Toledo worth fighting over?
Evil losers.
The National Socialist Movement eh? I wonder whether they invited Obama? At least these guys are out of the closet but Hussein Baraka is not, yet. Maybe the black leaders do not want everyone to know that Baraka is a fascist like them. So all you black people? Urge to stay away.

Given it’s juxtaposition between Ann Arbor and Columbus, why not have a UM/OSU fan brawl instead?
Funny you should mention that — there was a potential military confrontation in Toledo between Michigan and Ohio (over a century and a half ago)
Apparently both states wanted it for some reason.
LOL !! I thought that same thing before i read your post.
LOL
John Purdue funded his own private army during the Civil War to protect his business interests in southern Indiana against Confederate raids.
The funniest part about those guys was the weird station wagons they drove.
Blues Brothers has to be in the top 5 of all movies made.

A dozen neo-nazis showed up to gather and communist-anarchists in numbers many times as great showed up (some from Canada) to riot and exploit the black community.
The anarchist organization that coordinated the violence called police fascists, President Bush a fascist, and FR (and several freepers by name) fascists. Their 'anti-fascist' riot needed a bogeyman.
Neo-nazis suck, so do neo-communists.
The nazis that came to march weren’t from Toledo. I don’t remember if they were even from Ohio. Neither was the violent opposition.
The riot was a stunt coordinated by outside agitators.
The black marchers were useful idiots exploited by anarchists.
My post was a Blues Brothers reference.
I got it.
Pre-packaged riot.
