Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday that “troubling questions” are raised if reports are accurate that the White House is offering Arab states a “nuclear umbrella” to protect them from Iran.
The Jerusalem Post and Arabic-language newspaper Al-Hayat reported last week that Obama administration is ready to ease concerns over the Iranian nuclear threat by offering the Gulf States a “nuclear umbrella” — a declaration that any use of nuclear weapons against them would be considered use against the U.S. as is now policy for such major military allies as NATO, Japan and South Korea.

I suppose this offer of protection is as valuable as the assistance we promised Ukraine in return for them getting rid of their nukes.
Besides, if Iran’s most radical leaders gain control and nuke a neighbor, it’ll be because those crazies want to go out in a blaze of glory, and whatever we do in retaliation, if anything, won’t help the neighbor much.
I do not understand why we allow Iran to have any nuclear materials at all. A few dirty bombs would cripple Israel, and would cause horrors almost unimaginable in Cairo or Riyadh.
We offered protection to Ukraine when they gave up their nukes. At least that is what Ukraine thought.
