These are, of course, the Iraqi troops that strangled ISIS in its cradle, thereby helping to create the safe and modern Iraq some have dubbed the South Korea of the Middle East. Mission accomplished, indeed.
I wouldn’t blame the general for that one. He and they got hamstrung from above.
I would blame him however for being ignorant of US Federal Civics 101.
