They would probably turn the debate in to a fundraiser.

Knock yourself out, but I look at him as someone who never got anywhere without doing it on the public’s payroll.

Hmmm. At some point (crazy early right now), an American Thinker article imagining the Cruz/Clinton(or Warren) POTUS debate is in order.

Cruz though... there is no doubt that is a man in possession of a valuable skill set lots of people would pay top dollar to employ.

I’m all for trying to elect the best people we can, but I agree with Milton Friedman that “savior-politicians” is not the solution.

What we really need is to quit putting our faith in man and put it back in God. Faith coupled with good-old “rugged individualism” need to be the engine that stirs the states and the people to fix this thing. There will be many heroes to look up to once we start that process.

True too that the right needs to ignore Hillary’s attempts to bait them into ageism, because I think that’s what she’s really after.

Not going to get too far without fixing the culture, you may not like what I’ve pointed out but that doesn’t make it untrue. We are what we are, better to be a realist.

Sleeping, but Stephanopoulos and Crowley woke them up.

Clinton would nail him on specifics

Only if she made them up, which is entirely possible. Hillary is the Queen of Vague, never letting herself be nailed down to specifics--unless they're totally fabricated and unverifiable. It's how she's avoided indictments all her life.

The left media/Satan may destroy Hillary before it ever gets that far. Satan is so hard on his minions.

You’ll get no argument from me about God, but you do have to admit He uses a discipleship process, which is emulating admirable behaviors in other people. It’s what we do. If you want a successful country you do have to get people pulling in the same direction like a team of horses, not wandering around like a bunch of feral cats.

I know you don’t like her, but don’t be willfully blind to Walkers weaknesses. If she gets that far and isn’t just drawing the Republicans out to give the public an unflattering look at them, you can bet she’ll have her homework done.

I look at him as someone who never got anywhere without doing it on the public’s payroll.

That applies to 99% of all politicians. Which GOP presidential contenders have run any businesses successfully? Can you name some? Ross Perot & Mitt Romney are the only 2 I can think of. Both lousy politicians and could not win votes.

Most politicians don’t try the self-made common man shtick though, and that looks like what Walker is going for.

In 2016 list of contenders, Fiorina & Trump are the only two with extensive business experience. But their ability to win votes is questionable at best.

At he end of day only thing which matters is can the candidate win enough votes to win.

I know they say you are supposed to shine a light on weaknesses and pretend they are strengths, but saying you are a self-made man that nobody gave anything to (who has no rich friends) is going to get people interested enough to check his bio, and what they find won’t square with what he says. Next they are going to check what kind of job he’s done, and what he’s done has not had the desired effect.

Now Cruz is a different story, people will walk in with all sorts of pre-conceived notions and what they will find is a bright guy who speaks to them about stuff they know is true. He has a self-deprecating sense of humor and is a spell-binding speaker. The more people see of Cruz, the more they will like what they see. But to each their own.

If you wait for a Republican to get union support, you’ll be waiting a while. On the flip side, there are a lot of conscripted union workers who hold no allegiance to union leadership (i.e., the Democrats). Walker is as solid as we are going to get, and still have a chance at winning.

Never happen. Hil will not run—if she tries she will be bowled over by others. Its a long way til the MSM selects the GOP president—better get ready for Christie or Jeb. They are the only RINOS out their they want in office.
