I remember reading things long time ago that you'll know we are closer to a European Social democracy when instead of having two parties with vastly different ideologies, the GOP and the DNC will increase spending but with one promising to do it “better.”

The question is: Do they have the will to pursue anything other than halfhearted reforms. The answer is: no.

How can they tell social security recipients that inflation is about 1.5 percent, and then turn around and increase their own budges by 5.5%. And that same social security number is the number they use to compensate our military.
Even the republican 3.3% is way off. If they can cap social security at the so-called core inflation rate, then they can cap ALL spending at the same rate.
That said, I wouldn’t increase it at all. I’d chop so many departments that all of them would fear for their existence.

The most sickening bunch of quislings ever to grace or disgrace the Capital. At this point I doubt that a Republican President is going to avert CWII which is on the way.

Reminds me of the balanced budget amendment proposed in the late 80’s and 90’s. The gop wing of the uniparty was all atwitter about passing that. And then they got into power. And that was the last you ever heard of it.

If dollar crashes, then interest rates must soar. Right?
And trade virtually stops.

They will do so, their plan says, in a more responsible manner than envisioned by President Obama. Again the GOP wants to out-stupid the Stupid.
We can do stupid better than the Democrats, says the GOP stupidperson of the year.
