WELL ... I do know that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that there would NEVER be Palestinian State on his watch, if he was re-elected as Prime Minister. And that was a DRAMATIC change of policy by Netanyahu, given just hours before the election started!

Perhaps what Netanyahu intends to do now is simply TALK ... and never agree to a state ... LOL ...

Israel’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Tzachi Hanegbi (Likud) said yesterday in an interview that the new government is willing to return to the negotiation table with the Palestinians.

Why would the Palestinians trust them after yesterday? And why should they trust the Palestinians after, well, after the last 20 years?

Tzachi Hanegbi is sending out a trial balloon.

But I think that he and his boss knows that unless Israel makes the concessions upfront, there is no reason for the Arabs to go along with the charade.

And we have been down that road before.

Actually, your last thought there is probably the best that can be expected.

Alleviating as many Arab concerns as they can without granting statehood is the only way to go IMO.

If he deals with the Arabs in good faith, no-trust and verify, that’s a wise route to take.

[Hanegbi, a Netanyahu loyalist, also said that the new government will begin an intense effort to renew the trust between the United States and Israel.]

Never gonna happen with this group of jew-haters in the WH.

Netanyahu knows that a Paly state is not possible, or acceptable to Israel. Talking to them about common concerns is one thing, agreeing to cutting your own throat is quite another. That is what happens when one side’s preconditions to negotiating are that the other give up everything that it owns and agrees to be slaves or killed. That can never work, which is why there is no peace between Israel and these maniacs.

Maybe it's a political ploy to stick Obama and his media fluffers in the eye for
saying the sky is falling because he won and there would be no peace.

This is a slap in Obama's face, and I doubt anything will come of it but
to prove a point about Islam once again.

It sort of looks like Netanyahu is getting ready to RESTART NEGOTIATIONS with the Palestinian Authority opinion regards to a Two-State Solution (namely the Oslo Accords and subsequent agreements from 20 years ago).

It looks like that is going to start up again, in spite of the announcement that Netanyahu made just prior to the election, saying that if he was re-elected as Prime Minister, he would never allow a Palestinian State.

I think that campaign promise is history ... :-) ... but it did get him re-elected!

PA: Negotiations ‘Only on Two-State Solution’ Basis [Netanyahu & Israel]
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/3269435/posts

The PA officially announced Wednesday night that it was hoping to renew talks with Israel, regardless of who was Prime Minister.

After earlier reports said that the Palestinian Authority was considering suspending all security cooperation with Israel in the wake of Binyamin Netanyahu’s reelection, the PA officially announced Wednesday night that it was hoping to renew talks with Israel, regardless of who was Prime Minister.

Nabil Abu-Rudeineh, the PA’s official spokesperson, said that the PA has “no interest in the disposition of Israel’s Prime Minister. The only thing we are interested in from any Israeli government is the recognition and acceptance of the two-state solution, with Jerusalem as the capital of the Palestinian state.”

At a press conference in Ramallah, Abu-Rudeineh said that acceptance of the two state solution was the only basis of negotiation with Israel.
