Israel will restart negotiations with the Palestinian Authority...as victors to the defeated.
It looks like Netanyahu is going back to negotiations. And that’s not a bad thing, because it will take the pressure off Israel from stuff like is mentioned in the above article ...

Israel’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Tzachi Hanegbi (Likud) said yesterday in an interview that the new government is willing to return to the negotiation table with the Palestinians.
“We would be delighted to renew the negotiations,” Hanegbi said in an interview with the Israel Project. “We believe it is in the interest of both people– the Israeli and the Palestinian– to have a dialogue; to discuss our disputes; to try and find [a] common denominator in the issues that are so crucial to both people.”
Hanegbi, a Netanyahu loyalist, also said that the new government will begin an intense effort to renew the trust between the United States and Israel.
“We will make an effort, a very, very intimate and intense effort to renew the trust between the governments,” said the deputy foreign minister. “It is essential for the security of Israel. It is essential for the survival of the state of Israel.”
Hanegbi’s words are significant in light of Netanyahu’s vocal opposition this week to the establishment of a Palestinian state. The hostility of the Obama Administration towards Netanyahu was also widely reported in the weeks leading up the Israeli election.

WELL ... I do know that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that there would NEVER be Palestinian State on his watch, if he was re-elected as Prime Minister. And that was a DRAMATIC change of policy by Netanyahu, given just hours before the election started!
Perhaps what Netanyahu intends to do now is simply TALK ... and never agree to a state ... LOL ...

Many Americans who have never heard Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu before, were left in awe of his command presence when taking the stage, and also his ability to rhetorically demolish Obama’s absurd rhetoric about a nuclear Iran to bits.
On the outside, we can all see the visible attributes that makes Bibi such an incredible leader, and wish we had a leader who stood up to terrorists and Islamo fascists, instead of appeasing them.
But what you probably didn’t know is that Bibi was quite the badass in his youth, and before taking over as Israel’s leader, he racked up quite the impressive list of accomplishments, as well as made incredible sacrifices for his country.
As compiled by IJReview, here are 5 badass things you probably didn’t know about Bibi:
1. War hero The Israeli leader enlisted in the IDF at the young age of 18, serving in an elite commando unit. He went on to fight in three different wars for his country.
2. Has taken bullets for his country Deployed on many dangerous special forces missions throughout his military career, Bibi took a bullet in the shoulder while attempting to rescue the passengers of a plane hijacked by terrorists in 1972. He served on the front lines in the Yom Kippur War, where he was almost killed in the Suez Canal.

Colonel Jonathan Netanyahu, Bibi’s brother, paid the ultimate sacrifice for his country, as he was killed in action while leading his special forces troops attempting to rescue 100 of his countrymen who had been held hostage on a hijacked flight by Palestinian and East German terrorists. Not a single hostage was killed, and Netanyahu — the siege’s commander — was the sole Israeli casaulty in an operation that is still taught in military schools to this day. (Hollywood even made afilm of it starring Charles Bronson.)

He earned degrees in Management and Architecture, from two of the most prestigious schools in the country — Harvard and MIT. The Knesset or Likud party chair should sue the Obama administration for interference with Israeli elections. They should demand the recall of the US ambassador to Israel, who played a huge part in the funding (from Obama) of the anti-Bibi campaign ads, which is an embarrassment to the rest of us.
Obama is an incompetent international proctologist, sticking his fingers (and nose) where he doesn't belong.
Negotiate what?
You should have asked Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that, because he was engaged in that for many years. In fact, in the past, he said that he would go anywhere, at any time, to negotiate the final status agreement to form the Palestinian State.
Now just in the last 72 hours (or thereabouts) Netanyahu did state that if he were re-elected Prime Minister that he would not allow Palestinian State “on his watch”. But now we have those who are in the Netanyahu government and a close Likud associate of Netanyahu saying that they (the Netanyahu government) would be pleased to restart negotiations. And THAT was given after Netanyahu won the election and about 24-48 hours after Netanyahu’s statement (given just before the election).
My educated guess, and from knowing and following Netanyahu, is that he is going to restart negotiations with the Palestinians at some point (relatively soon) when the political climate is suitable for it.
So you said before. Personally I thought the negotiations were a big waste of time before, and would be a bigger waste now. You have two sides whose primary, bedrock, non-negotiable condition is completely unacceptable to the other. Now I think Netenyahu showed how he really feels and that just reinforces that Israel will never allow a Palestinian state, and the Palestinans will never accept an Israel. So I think Netenyahu did the world a favor and hopefull drove a stake through the heart of this whole "peace talks" farce that has been going on for too many years and through too many U.S. administrations.
Just sit back and wait ... you’ll see how it works out ... :-) ... and none of our talking here will make a bit of difference as to how it “actually” turns out.
