The reason the Dems fear Cruz so much is that he can take the white vote and move it from 55/45 Republican to 65/35 Republican. If he does that, it’s GAME OVER for the Democrats. Regardless of what we’re told by media, and what the Republicans are told by their advisers (most of them gay, by the way), there are still a LOT of white votes in the US.

Also worth noting is that Hispanic vote does not necessarily move in the opposite direction of the white vote - it certainly didn’t in Texas last year, when whites ran as HARD CORE conservatives and Hispanics still voted 45% Republican.

Cruz gives me at least a little hope at this point, something I’ve not had for the past decade. Maybe, just maybe, conservatism still stands a chance. Can he survive the media and democrats primary votes?
