Thanks, Hillary! Morning Joe's Middle East a Smoking Ruin
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Warning: readers are advised to hide the sharp objects before viewing the clip of Morning Joe's review of the Middle East today. The picture painted is one of the utter failure of US foreign policy, leaving a devastated, deadly region in its woeful wake.

We open with President Obama's "mission accomplished" moment from last year in which he called US policy in Yemen "successful." Cut to Jim Miklaszewski saying that the White House had to order US special forces out of the country, leaving us with absolutely no leverage. Then to Iraq, where two experts say Iraq as a country is finished and falling under the baleful hand of Iran's Quds forces. On to Israel, where even Richard Engel chides President Obama for the churlish way he has perpetuated his public spat with Bibi. Donny Deutsch sounds a political note, observing that many Dem-leaning Jews—including big donors—side with Bibi, thus presenting Hillary with a big challenge for 2016.

But the Clintons are never responsible for anything. Nothing is ever their fault. You got that whole right wing conspiracy thing going on. Besides, the state of world affairs was made difficult because Obama and Hillary inherited problems from Bush.

Geez, its frustrating (but, understandable) that MSNBC can’t even find the IT talent to make their videos load and play. I hope this shows up on Youtube so it can be shared!

The elimination of civil law and rule by mullah is the future for the middle east. The reconquista of Spain required rebuilding civil government from scratch. The reconquista is where the mission system of colonization was born. The Spanish used it in North America - but indians could not be 'civilized' the Pueblo revolt destroyed Spanish colonization for a time.

The reconquista of the middle east will be interesting.

I saw just a short bit of the program this morning but Deutsch also talked about Clinton fatigue among Democrats...they are just tired of Bill and Hillary.

Expect the media to adopt Obama's line: all the trouble in the Middle East is because of Bush's invasion of Iraq.

What will be Hillary's talking points in 2016?

1. The mess is the Middle East is George W. Bush's fault.

2. Obama's deal with Iran will ensure that Iran doesn't have nukes.

3. If Iran does get nukes, they won't use them because they will be restrained by world opinion and UN resolutions.

4. I was the greatest Secretary of State in our history and I will fix all the problems.

This is a failure only to those who still believe, or pretend to believe, that Obama means well and is trying to do his best for America..

To Obama it is not a failure - it is another step to the New Caliphate.

I was a tape operator that used Sony DDRs and it wasn’t too tough most of the time.

I tried to be funny in my previous post but the situation may be very serious. Obama might be causing tension among the nations and this tension might cause an accidental nuclear exchange.
