We recently visited NYC. While having coffee at an historic hotel, I commented on how many of the “updates” reminded me of Mexico....quite a bit of conduit ran around the walls/ceilings.

Grew up on 12th and 2nd ave. ‘56 to ‘71 ... Not to be flippant but this s#!t happens all the time. Just a normal day in the East Village.
Few years ago a woman walking her pooch in Manhattan stepped on steel street plate and was electrocuted.
