"telling a small group of potential supporters that a “consensus-oriented” approach would have been better at the outset."

Yeah, this guy's a real leader! /sarcasm

He’ll change his equivocating tune everywhere he goes from now until he’s nominated. A leopard with chameleon spots.

In the end he’s a RINO and you can’t believe or trust anything he says. If he got his way, your children and grand children will be speaking Spanish.

How can you tell Jeb and Hillary apart?
Answer: You can’t.

Everyone seems to be missing the fact that both these laws were passed by both of the states’ legislatures. Let’s hope that both will dig in and tell their Governor, “You have our bill.”

It was consensus oriented approach since it was passed by majority vote. What he really means, is what we need is we need Democrats to agree as well

This guy doesn't believe in anything, does he? He wouldn't stand up for Terri Schiavo's life, he doesn't defend religious freedom when the Chamber of Commerce tells him not to.

Whatta' guy.

:: The law, he said, “is simply allowing people of faith space to be able to express their beliefs” ::

“...or prohibiting the free exercise thereof...”

Why do we not continue to place this phrase into the public discourse on “religion”.

Interview reveals why he would be a disaster as President.

You can’t have a “consensus oriented approach” with opponents who are committed to grinding you into the ground.

The law gave religious people standing to defend themselves in court against any legal actions brought against them because of exercise of their beliefs. Killing it means they will have no recourse now, no due process.

Back in the founding days, there was concern about the liberty crushing impacts of "mob rule". I didn't understand that as a youth, I thought surely if the populace massively supported something that it must be the best course for most and any other position was based on some sort of elitism. As I aged and saw how "consensus" can be used to stifle debate and crush individuals I understood it finally. And here we see it at work again.
