A new Quinnipiac poll has Rand Paul tied for 5th. That’s eight different polls since November showing Paul in 4th place or worse.
There was a moment in 2013 when political realignment was within our grasp– a once-in-a-generation opportunity to unite conservatives and progressives under the banner of classic Jeffersonian liberalism.
That window is closed– squandered by the mind-boggling incompetence of senior adviser Doug Stafford.

since winning election he started talking about “evolving” on social issues, and becoming pro-choice, and against DOMA, and anti-national defense, etc.
Rand Paul has political value when you consider the current culture.
He can go into “Hostile” territory and move people away from what the Democrats propose. Move them away from their support of centralized authority.
Yes, it’s pure Libertarian, but he can destroy one half of the choices available to would be voters.

I think the grifter Huckabee feels “called” to make money...that, and doing his part for the GOPe in preventing a conservative from getting the nomination, would be the ONLY reason he would declare and run.
