Victory for Ukip: BBC backs down and gives Farage his own TV show after debate fix row

THE BBC has backed down and given Ukip leader Nigel Farage his own TV slot to answer audience questions after an Express.co.uk investigation discovered Thursday's debate was a political fix.

He will take audience questions in a 30-minute programme called Election 2015: Ask Nigel Farage.

The discussion, held in Birmingham, will air after the News at 10 and will be chaired by journalist Jo Coburn.

It will be held at the same time as a Question Time special featuring the Tory, Labour and Liberal Democrat leaders who will take turns answering questions from the same audience in Leeds.

A Ukip insider raised questions over the timing of the announcement from the BBC amid a growing bias storm engulfing the broadcaster.

The announcement followed an Express.co.uk investigation into Thursday's debate featuring the leaders of "challenger" parties which revealed just ONE THIRD of the hand-picked audience leaned towards the political right.

The Ukip leader was booed on the programme when he suggested the make-up of the BBC election debate audience was left wing "even by the left-wing standards of the BBC".

Host David Dimbleby even insisted the audience had been “carefully chosen” by independent polling organisation ICM to represent the balance between all parties.

But when the make-up of audience members was finally revealed it showed that nearly 70 per cent were left wing.

The Ukip leader indicated that he would not be raising a formal complaint over the make-up of the audience with the debate's BBC hosts, saying he was too busy fighting the election.

On hearing the news that Farage will get his own 30-minute broadcast, a party spokesman said: "Nigel Farage is delighted to accept the BBC's invitation to once again engage with the British public."

I hope Farage holds a grudge in this case, because he could make a *lot* of friends in the UK by busting up and privatizing the BBC and by eliminating the television tax.

That would be a brilliant move. I hope he's bold (and smart) enough to consider it.

How is he going to make sure that the audience in his show isn’t biased against him?

Whenever you stand up to a liberal, they back down.

The problem is, the GOP never stands up to the liberals...nor does the GOP stand up FOR America.

I’ve noticed that on occasion, the GOP mistakenly stands their ground against the liberals...the liberals back down...and then the GOP apologizes!

Independent polling organizations should not be trusted.

Will Cruz and other conservative candidates have the balls to expose our debate moderators as flaming libs and demand that they have equal representation from the right?

Hugh Hewitt and Jake Tapper for CNN/Salem Radio are the only announced moderators (AFAIK).

Expect libs for most debates, and even the Fox moderators are likely RINOs. The RNC wants it that way.

Any Brit creepers out there that explain the Liberal party philosophy? I’ve always wondered where it falls.
