Senate deal should let long-delayed measure—and confirmation vote for Lynch—move forward (shortened)

It took Congress more than a month, but Senate leaders announced Tuesday morning that they've finally broached an agreement on legislation to help the victims of human trafficking. After a vote expected as early as Tuesday afternoon, the Senate can then finally take up the nomination of Loretta Lynch.

But after weeks of a near legislative freeze in the Senate over the trafficking bill, which in turn delayed Lynch, leaders of both parties sat down last week to begin hashing out a deal.

The solution turned out to be a fairly simple one. The handshake agreement on trafficking gives Republicans what they sought: assurances that none of the funds provided to trafficking victims will be used for abortions, under the Hyde amendment.

But Democrats also got what they wanted: A path forward without expanding the Hyde language. The fees collected from convicted traffickers will be used for legal services and other concerns, but under the new language, it cannot be used for medical services. Separate money appropriated by Congress, and thus subject to Hyde, will then be used for medical services.

If the GOP approves this treasonous wretch, even the most obtuse FReepers should realize that the D.C. Republicans are every bit as much our enemy as the communistcrats.

What Loretta Lynch won't do:
Put Lois Lerner behind bars
Investigate the missing monies in the State Department.
Question Ms. Clinton about anything.
Obey the U.S.Constitution laws...the law of the land.
Will do her best to allow Barry O. to continue breaking laws and using EO. L.Lynch is Eric Holder in skirts....she says as much her self in that 'I wouldn't change a thing that Eric Holder is doing.'

Please tell your Senator to vote NAY...not to be bullied by this petulant community organizer.

She’s a black Harvard law grad.
That makes her the most qualified candidate imaginable in MSM land.

It’s not just Lynch, don’t miss this “The handshake agreement on trafficking gives Republicans what they sought”. Handshake agreement with Democrats? Suckers.

Title should say “Republican Senate crumbles and will confirm lynch getting nothing in return.”

The DC criminals in the congress will put in place another criminal to run the DOJ so the new AG won’t prosecute the criminals in the congress, unless they cross the president or the democrat party. To hell with the American people because our constitution and the equal justice system in this country are gone at the hands of the criminals in DC who we have foolishly allowed to ruin this country.

She has stated she will not obey the laws of this country. Tell obama to withdraw her from consideration. Bunch of weasels in the senate.

Lynch should have been Borked 5 minutes after she stated that Obama’s illegal amnesty was legal.

Don’t suppose any of the treasonous morons that intend to vote for this sock puppet have changed their so-called minds?

“Lynch should have been Borked 5 minutes after she stated that Obama’s illegal amnesty was legal.”

This merely proves how corrupt the Republican leadership in the House & Senate have become.
