Welcome to the New GOP Majority

Yesterday, I cited a Congressional Quarterly analysis showing that Senate Republicans have voted with Obama more than 50% since the beginning of the new Congress – more than they did while serving in the minority. But there’s more to the story. It’s not just the fact that Republicans are voting with Obama, it’s that they have deliberately ceded structural control of the chamber to Democrats.

Typically, the majority party will manipulate the floor process to block initiatives from the minority party and vote on wedge issues favorable to their side – ones that embarrass those in the minority. As such, even if the majority party lacks the votes to overcome a filibuster and pass the legislation, they can use the amendment process on the bill to shame the minority and draw sharp contrasts in the hopes of winning the next election. Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV) was the ultimate master at pursuing Obama’s agenda while blocking all Republican amendments.

Now that Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) is in control of the floor process, nothing has changed. They are pursuing Obama’s agenda… while blocking many Republican amendments!

When you understand that the GOP Establishment are allied with the democrats against conservatives, then everything makes sense.

McConnell got himself and all his faithful minions reelected last year, and stopped as many conservatives from getting elected as he could.

And here's the result.

Mitch is a Democrat mole…possibly being blackmailed by Obama’s Chicago Mafia. No one could be this timid without being threatened in some way.

Every GOP(Liars) candidate promised otherwise,
But thereafter all but one (Cruz) attacked conservatives,
got on their backs for Obama to mount them,
and ceded even more of the (dead)Constitution
to their undocumented, declared Moslem, Indonesian King.

Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

The UniParty rises Ascendant.

The Managerial State:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Managerial_state

Paul Gottfried, in After Liberalism, defines this worldview as a "series of social programs informed by a vague egalitarian spirit, and it maintains its power by pointing its finger accusingly at antiliberals." He calls it a new theocratic religion. In this view, when the managerial regime cannot get democratic support for its policies, it resorts to sanctimony and social engineering, via programs, court decisions and regulations...

If this doesn’t lead to the demise of the GOP, and the emergence of a new party, what will? I feel like I have absolutely no representation in our government. I am not in any favored “special interest” group, and so am condemned (it seems) to being a heavily-taxed whipping-boy for everyone who is...

Like Ole Pappa use to say: “If you can’t pay no money, at least pay attention!” To those that do... we quickly decipher B.O., Hitlery, the DemWits, Bonehead, McPain, Mitch the “B*tch” McConnell and the GOPe (aka: Reprobates) all answer to the same 1% “owners”.

Are the GOP majorities in Congress wrecking the chances of a GOP presidency?

I, for one, am thoroughly disgusted and have pretty much sworn-off ever supporting another Republican candidate at the national level.

This is an excellent analysis short and direct. But I would call it a bureaucratic religion instead of theocratic one.

Your mistake is in thinking this is not what Mitch really wants.

Now you know why I call them “SPINELESS WHORES”. The REPUBLICAN ESTABLISHMENT wasn’t against OBAMA, they just wished they thought of everything OBAMA did should have come from the REPUBLICAN side of the building. Unless and until we the people rid ourselves of all these “SPINELESS WHORES” the we elected, nothing will change in the senate or the house. These are the people that ran as “CONSERVATIVES”, only to get elected. Once they arrived in Washington, they immediately put on the “FOR SALE” signs on their backs. They let every body know that they were “OPEN FOR BUSINESS”, as usual.

McConnell has found that being Majority Leader takes more work than sitting in his office and doing nothing as Minority Leader.

The Republicans seem to be overtly squandering their new majority.

Are they wanting to lose the majority?

They sure haven’t done much to inspire the voters to keep them in power. Considering that twice as many Republican senators are up for reelection in 2016, maybe they have already conceded the majority leadership back to the Dems.

The GOP is on the verge of appealing to only a tiny sliver of globalists and Chamber of Commerce types.
