Rubio The ‘Perfect Antithesis’ To Hillary, Who Dems ‘Fear The Most’

Means nothing to folks here. I've already read comments promising to vote for Hillary if Rubio gets the nomination and equal comments about Cruz, promising they will stay home if Cruz gets nominated.........

And a thread criticizing Scott Walker with a poster stating they won't vote for him if he gets the nomination........

I've been attacked in the past for calling these folks "Purists" or "Homers" who have stated they will stay at home if their choice in the primary isn't elected but the reality is, those folks handed us Obama.

It's now apparent that if the 2016 election is close, these same "Purists" and "Homers" who decide to stay home will likely determine the outcome of the election and it won't be in favor of our party...........

It's time for people to wake up and realize that there is no perfect candidate when it comes to politics and the only objective is to vote for the candidate who is opposing the Democrat party.........

"Purists" and "Homers" as opposed to those who demand "vote for any R because the alternative is worse"?

That voting for any R hasn't worked out so well, has it.

Obama is actually getting better results from the Republican controlled Congress than he got when Reid was Majority Leader.

I’d wager to say that most of us on FR would no longer the claim GOP as “our” party. Most of us are conservatives first. If the GOP lines up with us...we will support. If not, we won’t.

Just being “not the Democrat” is not enough to win most true conservative’s vote.

Absolutely. Whoever gets the nomination, we're counting on to oppose the Democrats. And we need candidates with track records of them doing that. I have a favorite, but if they don't get the nomination, then the one who beats them better have that track record.

I pulled the handle for Dole, McCain, and Romney. So I am not the stay-at-home type. But how we set ourselves up with these weak candidates who can't beat Democrats that are demonstrably worse continues to amaze me.
