How do you know that? Once she already had her own investigation in place, it would not take very long for her and her investigative team to look through the PD's report to see if it was consistent with their findings.
Again, the DA's office had this case for over two weeks. There were not many witnesses (considering that the bulk of the incident happened in a closed PD transport vehicle). So, considering that the DA's office clearly prioritized this investigation, two weeks is plenty of time to conduct an investigation.
It sounds like the illegal arrest is bogus. The knife was not legal in the City of Baltimore. This woman did not investigate the case properly. She fired all the veteran prosecutors who could have helped her and put her own people in.
People keep asserting that the knife was illegal in Baltimore, but provide no basis for that assertion. The Baltimore City Code prohibits the possession of a knife "with an automatic spring or other device for opening and/or closing the blade, commonly known as a switch-blade knife."
Is there any evidence that the knife meets that criteria?
if the incoming Big Government Largess exceeds the value of the local economy ...to such people....ANYTHING that they deem necessary to increase that Largess is more than welcome?
